Does cost affect searches?

The only reason I ask is that I saw an item amongst 'other items' but it didn't show on a search.

The seller uses a lot of fancy web art (technical term[]) but I dunno if that's anything to do with it?

Sellers with an ebay store have the option of listing on the main ebay site through fixed price or auction, or store listing.

Store listing fees are only 5c/month and searches can only be performed through the search engine within the store itself or through http://www.stores.ebay.com/

If you're not only looking for the most sought after parts or kits, (as these will most likely be listed on the main Ebay site to achieve higher aution prices) you can often do some great "finds" in the stores, often with a fair (not allways[!]) BIN price.

Of course you need to find the stores, but once you have, make a shortcut to it in the MyEbay section, for easy access later.

Jasons store is one of the stores I check out regularly - as he is a great Ebay seller with interesting products and regularly updates his store. (haven't yet bought from him though - but one of his former NIB Wild Willy M38 kits is beeing shipped today from another TC member who got it from Jason)
