I am in the market but dont know too much what do you experts think? What is this worth is it missing a lot of parts?

Thankshttp://cgi.aol.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2565&item=3120114976&rd=1

For starters it's a Bruiser.

Also the wheels are non standard.

The nerf bars appear to be missing also.

You should check the models section and the differences will probably be clearer. Try also viewing the manual for this truck.

I would say this truck is worth in the low $400's. It depends on what you want the truck for. If you want a runner, this would be fine. If you plan to resotre it back to factory shine you will need some expensive body parts. The glass will cost $40-80, Mirror $50, Bumpers $25-50, tires $25-80. You will spend about 20 hours to strip, sand, body fill and paint the body. Not to mention the $120 you will spend for a NIB decal sheet. So the choice is yours. I would wait a bit and fine a nice mint example which usually sell between $550-$700

Thanks for the insight shodog. What i am looking for is a driver that is a good base for a restoration. I know all the little parts are costly but i like hunting for the parts. SO would i be better off waiting for a more complete runner? Or does this have most of the basic parts to start? I want to spend 450 at the most.

If you really don't want to spend a lot on a decal sheet: Bruisers / Mounties look very good even without decals so that could save you about $80-$100 on them. ($120 is a little high, Shodog! [:0] [:)] ) Also that mirror is not very important to a runner, it costs $40-$60 and only adds wind-resistance and a risk of knocking it off in the first run...

Obviously you will need the tires, maybe the bumpers as well. If your budget is $450 then you shouldn't be paying that much foir this car as it need a quite lot of work. The chassis seems very nice though, only 'big' flaw I discover is a missing switch cover...

If you want a very shiney one, then I'd look out for one that is already in the that condition. As these cost about $600-$800 it might be cheaper in the end. But I hear you are looking for a truck to tinker and run with (which is what they are made for), the truck you pointed out might be very suitable to you. The choice is still up to you! [:D]

BTW: that truck is posibly impossible to flip (or at least steer) with that big tires! They look rather silly and hilarious though... [8)]

Well i guess if i can get this truck for what i want then iw ill do it. I want to spend no more than 450 to start and i know i will spend a lot more once i get going and i dont mind. If any of you know of any for sale please let me know but thanks for your responses they are helpful.

The mirror is worth $50?? I have the mirror on mine and I would not miss it for $50!!! Surely that is too much for a 1cm square bit of plastic?

I kow that I was already crying and snivelling in a recent thread I posted about people doing that- ending the auction early- but it really pi..es me off when people do that. I mean, why not just put a BIN on it, so we dont have to wasted our time on it. I know it is up to the seller, but darn, I have to be obligated to email every single seller and ask them ahead of time if they will accept my offer of ending the auction early for whatever money? I am just wondering when Ebay is going to catch on and make that method impossible to utilize, or start charging fees when the auction ends early. See ya!

You mind our asking how much you offerred him to end the auction, BB78?

Usually, ethical sellers would only do it for the current highbidder anyway... [;)]

Don't cry too much this one anyway. Low feedback vendor and a buyer with "Not a registered user" doesn't promote much bidding confidence.
