Dammit

Had my eye on a Bruiser, so set up a snipe.

Been looking good all week, one other guy going for it seriously, so he's upto £255, my snipe set for £407.

Everything good 'til 3 minutes before end, and someone outbids him but not me, but leaves enough time for him to rebid - And he did[:(]

So don't hate snipers, there's always someone gonna throw a spanner in the works[;)]

Anyone got a nice Bruiser they wanna sell for £400?

If you ask me IMHO that one wasnt worth 400pounds so be happy!

(Mods, I can comment now that the auction is closed, can't I? Otherwise pls edit above comment)

Also the zero feedback buyer might not buy, you can ask the seller if he didnt[;)]

Dont worry, for 400 quid you can find great Bruisers, they arent rare, especially in US... [:)]

Cheers

Mike's in UK last time we heard... unless he's just married to an American girl??! [:P]

How did all the proceedings go, Twinset?

No pixxies for us even?? [;)]

Mornin'

The Bruiser probably wasn't a £400, but it's one of the only 'complete' ones I've seen in the UK for a while, but I haven't been looking that hard [;)]

Thing is, £400 ($650?) was end price (no real shipping or import duty) so it didn't seem too bad.

I've already mailed seller to say if winner doesn't contact her to drop me a line.

RE; proceedings (abridged version)

Went great, Sarah was suitably stunning, overshadowed only by myself[;)]

Full-on church do, all went without a hitch, had the coolest vicar ever, I think he musta been a hippy at some point.

Reception and speeches went well (lots of rescue remedy).

My mum didn't cry in the church, but I had her sobbing like a baby with the speeches!

Then we had a disco in the evening

note to kids; DISCO - where old people go to have fun

Tooped off with 2 weeks in Mauritius[8D][8D][8D]

Anyroad, couple of pix from the party - we left a load of disposable cameras about, they take real good pix! (Kodak 'HD')

Still got to collect the official ones!

In the second picture, the woman in red in the left is looking at the guy in the picture like: "What a freak!" or something... [:0] LOL [:D]

Probably 'Tamiya freak' though, not many people know that's actually a GOOD thing... [;)] [:P]

I know that Will, thats why I wrote the prices in pound, still it doesnt change the fact that more Bruisers are available in US [;)][:P][:D]

Mike, nice pics and congrats again! [^]

Was your mother "Crying at the discotheque?" [;)][:P][:D]

It's Andy, not Mike - I blame Willy[;)]

Woman in red probably regretting not snapping me up earlier[:D] (actually not sure who she is)

[:(]She'd stopped by the time the disco started!

Hey Mike,

Ahh, Discotech! Saturday Night Fever, etc etc.

Thanks Theo... I was starting to think of LandRover DISCOvery, which would have ample room for old fogies to have some fun, but probably not enough to hold a whole party in.

No Andy/Twinset, I didn't mean *those* pictures.

More like DID YOU GET YOUR HUMMER???!!! [8D][8D][8D]

Oh - those pictures[:D]

I tried to get a Hummer, but they're pretty rare over here, the only company I found was a 'television supplier' and they wanted £3500 for the weekend[xx(]

In the end, we had a very nice old Daimler, running boards and everything[:D]

Twinset, I know the buyer of that Bruiser. He has another ebay id and he is fairly prompt on paying for auctions. He's also a reasonable person to deal with. In fact, he already bought a decent Bruiser a couple of weeks ago so you may want to email him and ask him if he'll let you have this one instead.
