Stupid categories

Just looking at ebay UK, Radio Control, Available to UK

Our categorisation for 'Radio Control' is;

Home > All Categories > Toys, Bean Bag Plush > Hobbies > Radio Controlled id="red">

So a search for 'TAMIYA' in R/C only brings up a stack of stuff.

Trouble is, international categorisation for radio control is totally different, so the above criteria ignores items that are not in that 'directory' structure.

For instance, ebay.com put R/C stuff in;

Home > All Categories > Toys & Hobbies > Radio Controlid="red">

Furthermore, using the above (.co.uk )structure, it only shows up RC stuff either advertised in the UK or on ebay.co.uk even though it's an 'available to' search.

Ebay.com 'Tamiya' 37 pages! now some of this won't be international shipping, but not 75% of it!

Yup - it's a pain. I got tired of this and just set up favourites for .co.uk, .com and .de. Takes slightly longer to search, but you get more reliable 'coverage'. As a side issue, I've found that sellers who only state 'shipping to xxxx only' will often ship internationally if you show that you're serious, so the ebay 'availability' flags kind of break down a bit anyway.

agree, if you send the seller a "sweet" email, telling him you

pay with paypal , and wil cover the extra cost for sending the stuf to you, no one will say "no way" .

I bought quite some stuff on ebay / gunbroker and never had any problems with it.
