Well i won this auction , but i didn't see the "only ship within UK".

I was so exited over it and didnt read the auction terms good enough.

So i just placed a bid.[:I]

I contacted the seller right away, and i hope it turns out ok.

Hi Guys,

Just a notice for next time - no posts to live auctions, even if they look like great deals. Its one of the rules. I know you were just trying to help but when you post a link to a hidden treasure at a low price, chances are all you are going to do is drive the price up for everyone and in the end no-one gets a bargain. In this instance grusome got lucky, could have been thanks to the post 20 people go to put in last minute snipe and rather than one member getting it for £26.00 another gets it for £100.00

I imagine that grusome is very happy with his new FAV (i know I would be) but imagine the second place bidder had been watching the auction for the last seven days thinking he is going to get a bargain and all of a sudden he loses out? Could be he is a member too.

Bottom line is for everyone you make happy chances are you are going to make someone else unhappy and both parties could be members.

Search through some of the threads for more info.

As it says in the rules "No posts to live ebay auctions".

Grusomkis, congrats on the good buy. I was just wondering if the seller only accepts personal cheque, postal order or banker's draft, how do you pay him from Norway without incurring high transaction cost? Do you just send him cash?

i think his shipping cost are going to be high. he wanted £13 just to post in the UK, that to me is way over priced. i cant see how he came to that price, as the car had no radio gear, its overall size/weight isn,t too big/heavy and parcel force are cheaper than royal mail. i posted an original wild willy the other day (to a fellow member as it turns out), it was complete with radio gear and transmitter etc - so it was fairly heavy and awkward. and i posted that using parcel force, for a cost just short of £8.

it was a bargain though, and i can see netsmiths point about feeds to live auctions. i was tempted to snipe it at the last moment, but i saw most of the bidders were TC members, and i didn,t want to step on anyones toes.

have fun with it[:D].
