Just got this eloquent little note from a bay punter

(this is the whole mail in it's entirety by the way, I didn't delete the 'many thanks, cos he never typed it)id="red">

Why do u have a picture of a frog and are u selling a proper quad bike what is its top speed and its cc if it is a real quad i will out bid the lot email back now

Have a look here;

http://cgi6.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...&sort=3&rows=50

Now, I can understand the frog question, but is there any reason for anyone to think one of these items (clue for the stupid, THE FIRST ONE) is a real quad bike?

Now, you may say, "but Andy, his computer may not do pictures", so here's the text; (apologies for caps, I typed it once already)

NIB KYOSHO ATV RIDER/QUAD BIKE

id="size3">
id="blue">

CHASSIS PARTIALLY BUILT (BY KYOSHO)

SHOCK ABSORBERS NEED BUILDING AND RIDER FIGURE REQUIRES ASSEMBLY AND PAINTING

FOR RADIO CONTROL, YOU'LL NEED;

2 CHANNEL TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER

2 SERVOS

7.2 Volt BATTERY AND CHARGER

BOX IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, EXCEPT CREASING ON EITHER SIDE FROM OPENING

GOOD FUN TO DRIVE AND BIG TOO!

PICTURE BELOW IS FOR SCALE, RED ONE IS NOT FOR SALE

(I NEED SOMETHING TO PLAY WITH)id="red">

Now, if Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or anyone else for that matter do a full size quad bike with a chassis zip tied to a cardboard box with a dismembered rider thrown in, I will eat the quad I advertised and the frog (it's a TOAD peasant) in front of an audience of toad lovers (after phoning the police about Honda selling dismembered people)

I would write back and say "Yes it's a real quad. It's got a very low BIN because I don't use it and just want rid of it." when he gets it and then complains you can say that you answered his question because it is a real quad, a real model quad but real non-the-less.

Nobody lied, just PLANK features out planked himself.

Some people amaze me. I bet this guys needed teaching before he could breath!!!!!!!.......

So how much for the frog? Does it come with a cage? Does it eat flies or bloodworms? Does it give out warts? I want to know hehe.[:o)][:o)][;)][:o)][:o)][}:)][}:)][^][xx(]

It amazes me he could even find the 'email seller' button.

I'd have thought this pic would have been the giveaway, but obviously Kyosho (oops, typo, should have been Kawasaki) made it a little too lifelike[:D]

It gave off a funny coloured liquid when I picked it up the other day, but other than that we don't have a lot to do with each other.

By the way, IT'S A TOAD - honest

so, how fast can the frog ride the quad?, email me back straight away and i,ll come over and prove i can ride it faster than he can - 'cos i havent got webbed feet......[:P][:P]..duh......

does the toad wear the helment? where did you get the helment at? are there more? since it is a toad and not a frog, you must be in the desert so does the toad wear sun screen?[:o)] ribbit

oh yeh, its a toad....boy, can they ride quads...faster than your average frog. they dont wear crash helmets because they,re more like "hells angels". if i,m bidding against a toad for this quad, i think i,ll retract my bid...dont want any trouble now....[8)]

Jezza IT'S A TOAD and it can't ride the quad because

a) the frog toad is 1:1 and the quad is 1:4 so it'd look silly.

2) Every time I put it on the saddle of the nitro one it slips off again

c) It's a **** toad and toads don't ride quads you silly man

Although webbed feet would be an advantage if the brakes failed (think air brakes)

Joshua - read the above

Further reading on the subject, but couldn't find any mention of quad bikes;

But seriously kids, never put an amphibian or reptile of any kind on a chain drive vehicle, picking bits of gecko out of a small link chain is no fun at all (specially when the wifes finds out what you wanted the tweezers for)

That seems to be a common kind of communication via web today. Total lack of punctuation, total lack of politeness, and not to forget total lack of common sense. I receive some of these kind'a mails too, and sometimes I reply back in the same "redneck-style". An increase to drive the other one mad, would be replying the hole text without spaces between the words.

Someone said to me: "Mankind is arbitrarily silly" And you found that most dumb things can always be topped by the next panel patient.

Regards, Martin

BTW: I even receive this kind of mails with the title "enquiry from tamiyaclub" (sorry if it's not exactly, but I am at work now), you see you are never safe!

I have just sold some 1:1 alloy wheels on ebay and even though every bit of information was in the description e.g Tyre condition, alloy condition, the size, the offset etc i still got a load of stupid immpolite emails asking me these questions. I had also stated that the auction was collection only because of the weight and cost and i still got people emailing me asking how much to ship them to Northern Ireland! [xx(]

Its obvious people just dont read ebay items it seems to me the world is full of clowns [:o)]

Twinset i'd do what bibbo suggests write back saying yes its a real quad bike it 1:4 scale and if he buys it still thinking its 1:1 then he really is a moron.

Be careful he may buy it and then moan he didn't get his free toad [;)]

Thats pretty funny Joshua, " does it give out warts?" [:D]That question reminds me of a girlfriend I once had in High School.............

What country is this guy from? (What planet as a matter) I know some languages don't use terms such as please and thank you, so politeness can get lost in the translation.

I do hope this guy's native tongue is not English, and stupidity is truely international.[:D]

Hey, you never know the man might be minute (mi-newt even[:I])

Sorry Willy, it's a re-list.

I took the TOAD out because of the confusion it seemed to cause[:D]
