Just a note to say I have put up over 100 auctions - I hope I can help out some of my fellow members with what is on offer........

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?View...arryns-retro-rc

and also to say that I strongly advise anyone who is not prepared for the barrage of moronic questions - NOT to do this many auctions.....man does it take up some time ! Not that I really mind - I just wasnt prepared for the barrage of questions !

I have a whole new respect for the "professional" auctioneers that sell R/C stuff..........

Cheers

And how they all laughed when the morons were buying off me[;)]

In no particular order, my forecast is;

I have a Clodbuster, will your clod buster parts fit ok?

What other nibs do you have, any for Parker pens?

How come you spelt Darren wrong?

What's a wesite?

ROFL ..... hehehehehe

The best so far has been "will these tyres fit my GRB Celica?" - on the auction for the celica GRB tyres.[:(][B)][xx(]

WESITE - arrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh - people will have to work that one out !

Chris - LOLOL - is that an attempt at another "moron" type question !! [;)] (as the link to the turbo lister appears in the auction for those that dont see the funny side ) !!!!

The ones that really grind my plums are the ones you reply to, and never get a response - can't people just type cheers and click send?

I got one today from one of the bidders on my blazer stuff, wanting to know the price for the lot (now the auction ended) so I told him, and nothing - not too dear, you must be joking, get bent, nothing.

LOL - I have to agree with you all. (No - I wasnt referring to your emails mate !)

The worst are the ones that dont even say hello, who they are etc etc.....

I dont like being rude - however now I just send a one word answer.

oh well - enough complaining - there are more good than bad out there - funny how most of them are T.C members etc [:D]

Cheers

Did you use Ebays offline listing tool to put them all up?

If you are refering to Turbo Lister I use it. However, I would be careful how the word 'use' is taken. To be honest, turbo lister is ****. It has a nasty tendancy to blow up *every* session and take the whole PC down with it. Of course this *always* happens while near the end of writing a long detailed description of an item. (poof! all gone!)

The other thing I hate is the thing will not upload any auctions untill it checks for updates to it's self. What this means is that the **** thing cannot for whater reason get the update it needs due to the update server being busy or misconfigured ot whatever.

I am really beginning to *hate* ePay and all it has become.

I use Turbo lister and it works perfectly for me, but I do use it in a different way.

I write all my item descriptions when I'm off line using Word 2000 and I save the file as an HTML file.

When I'm happy with the the look of the listing and done a spell check on it etc I then save the file, close it, open it again with notepad, it looks like gobbledeegook but thats how HTML looks in its natural format. I press CTRL-A to select all, then CTRL-C to copy it into the clipboard and then go to the HTML source bit in turbo lister and CTRL-V paste it in.

I think the pages look OK and this method gives me time to make sure the description actually makes sense (unlike my posts here - lol)

I then carry on as normal and upload my listing.

A flaky machine is normally down to a flaky operating system. I run Windows XP tweaked to make it look like Windows 2000 as I never did like the telly tubbies

I rarely send a one word thanks in response to an answer to an ebay question. I figure who wants to be bothered with that? We get enough junk mail as it is.

If I send a thanks, should I expect a "You're welcome" in return? And then I would of course have to respond 'Any time..'.

Seriously.. Am I being rude?

What really bugs me is when I send a note to someone and they don't include *my* original note somewhere in their reply. This is annoying as I need to figure out who this is why they just told me 'yes', or gave me a mailing address.

Surprisingly, I find that much of my correspondence with ebay and RC car people in general are like this. Not just the occasional person. I'm not sure why, I would need to go thru extra effort to remove the original note when I reply to someone, as it appears right in my outgoing note.

I agree, it is most annoying to have no "history" in return emails, makes it extremely hard (boy am I experiencing that at the moment - I will never do over 100 auctions again).

Now with the auctions nearly finished (a few hours to go on most) - the fun will begin - I will most probably have to start chasing people for the payments..oh well it is all fun !! [;)]

Cheers guys - and thanks for your support of my auctions.

One thing to keep in mind. For whatever reason AOL email will not let you (or by default won't) include the original message. I have no idea why but this is so. There are *millions* of AOL lusers, er, I mean users out there. [;)]

Some email software also does not by default include the original message. Most computer and AOL users are not clueful enough to know about these issues or know how to remedy it. This is where much of your missing message irritation comes from I'd wager.
