Cheers for the feedback Bleep, I'll do the same...

I've heard the decal sets can be a nightmare on these.. But I love a challenge. Might finish it in an onroad colour scheme and get a NIB body for it at a later date to finish properly.....

Either way, I'll post some pics of it.

I'm looking forward to getting another FWD car, I've already started getting hop ups for it, I bought the aluminium motor mount for it yesterday so I dont melt the chassis as I've got a 13x2 motor waiting to be fitted... Who needs traction anyway. (Don't worry, I'm going to fit a suitable speedo and stick the ECO in my Isuzu Mu crawler)

The car arrived this morning cheers, it was in one piece aswell, due to your packaging. Nice one.

I couldn't help hopping it up straight away so I fitted a ball diff, oil dampers and a hotter motor (27 turn rebuildable as I can't put the 13x2 yet as the heatsink hasn't arrived) It goes like stink and has pretty good traction too. I can't wait to get the 13x2 in it and some Sanyo 2400's. Should be a monster.

I did notice when fitting the ball diff that the bearings are standard ball races rather than Tamiya blue ones. I might be being stupid here, but the Tamiya Blue bearings I have used have blue rubber seals in them, these have a metal shield instead.

And to answer your question, yeah, I'm happy

ooh sounds good then...

glad ya happy.

the bearing were off the tinternet from the usa....

hmm i thought there was a blue seal... mind u im colour blind.

enjoy and let me know how it goes.

just out of interest Where can I get hopups for a stadium blitzer ??? and what am I looking for.. its fully ballraced has an esc and 12t motor. not sure what else to look for or where...

With any car I buy I always hop them in this order. Most important first(IMHO).

ball bearings

ESC

Shocks

Hottor Motor

heat sink for motor

Decent diff's (or none at all on a crawler)

Adjustable turnbuckles

The season why:

ball bearings: Obvious one this, makes the car go better and batteries last longer.

ESC: makes the car much better to drive and batteries last longer

Shocks: Usually the stock ones are rubbish, decent oil filled shocks ensure power to the ground and allow lots of tweaking.

Hotter motor: Not all my cars get this, it depends on the car. My Isuzu Mu crawler actually has a motor that turns alot slower than the stock 540, but, it has masses or torque. Gives a huge run time too.

heatsink: Heat is a killer for RC cars/motors/batteries/esc's get rid of it with a heatsink.

decent diff: A bell diff is adjustable, it makes tuning the car harder, but the results are well worth it. To give you an example, With the standard gear diff in an FF02 chassis, when you apply the full brakes on a smooth surface, the right hand front wheel actually rotates backwards! due to the diff kicking in. With only 2wd you need as much power getting to the ground as you can, a ball diff wont 'diff out' as easily (depending on setup)

Adjustable turnbuckles: these allow precise adjustment of wheel camber etc. It depends on where you fit them. It can also take some of the slop that all RC cars seem to suffer from. Slop is bad as it means that your precisley adjusted camber is all over the place when the cars moving.

Hopping up a stadium should really be a case of bearings/esc/shocks/diff. You can go mad with light weight stuff (I never go that far) if something breaks, I replace it. I've not had one of these so I can't give any advise on tweaks you could do with adjustable turnbuckles etc.
