If i were to get one of these chargers to use when i start racing at my local club should i get nimh or stay with nicads? Ive noticed a lot of people have those cell type batteries, but i dont really know much about them.

The charger will handle both types. I have the same 1. Nimh gives extra run time, but doesn't quite have the punch of say a Sanyo 2400 nicad. Nimh are getting better though.

thanks tipsy. I think i might stick with nicads and buy a higher power one, as im not 2 sure bout nimhs. plus, at the club where im going to race the track requires betyter acceleration or punch, over top speed.

I dont think the orion packs are Sanyo. But are a good price. Im about 45mins from Modelsport. They have a good selection. Both the sanyo packs you showed are exactly the same configuration.

Forgot to mention. My 2400 Nicads give better top speed too on my CAT 3000. I found them a better allround battery although not as good run time

So just ordered myself 3 packs of sanyo 2400RCs for the spring drive at Snetterton!

are the rocket ones just the name of the packs or do they mean something like 'faster, but less run time' for example.

thanks, Chris [:D]
