battery connection help

I've just bought a pack of 6 nimh cells along with dean connectors to replace the tamiya ones, and had the cells assembled into stick pack but i will need to atatch the deanes clips onto the wire coming from my ESC which currently has a tamiya plug and connectors. Do i 'pull' the wires out of the plug, or cut them, im not sure what i have to do. [8)]

Just clip the plug off. The insides of a tamiya connector are no use when you use Deans.

ok, so do i just pull the wires out (black and red) from the plug coz they seem pretty stuck!

Did you just cut plug off??

If your wanting to take out the pins, there are 2 very small clips on each pin on the part that plugs into the female connector. You will prob need a jewellers screwdriver to push the pins in. It wont be easy either. As was mentioned before, just cut whole thing off and solder to the wire.
