lol, said the same thing to my missus about a month ago when I decided I'd make a Land Rover....still in bits on hall floor.....at least you've got a stella to keep you going!!

Ok, back to it this morning, had a night off last night (wasn't allowed, due to the 2:00am finish the night before)

Practised my 'I'll do what I like' rant on the cat, he took it as well as I expect the wife to[8D]

Well, today's going better than Thursday so far [:)]

Got a decent Radio, and am listening to Radio 2 (Tuner knob's bust - Honest!)

This all went straight together! Only thing slowing it dowm was trying to tap holes in fiddly little bits of delrin with normal screws instead of tapping screws.

Note To Self

Bring some taps home next time, and some bigger pliers.

Looking pretty good now - had to stop though, shocks are on the way, but haven't arrived yet.

Still gotta;

fit the motors (waiting for adjustable mounts)

fit shocks

tidy up all the wiring

cut & paint the body

drive it over something

Got a selection of tires, not sure which yet, although I prefer the Mammoth rims

Bought the wimpy wheels for the rims, but no, they don't fit 1/2 a dually tire [:(]

Yep, cat's a real treasure (should be buried)

All cute one minute, and all teeth and claws as soon as I get near him - dunno why though [;)]

Got some beefier tires and wheels for it, just can't get to them at the minute (buried deep within the batcave [8D])

Usual thing, four wheel independant steering.

Top links are custom, didn't like the 'slope' on the gearboxes with the original links.(see 'outdoor' pic)

Also have some shorter body posts to fit, but haven't gotten round to that yet.

Jeep body has a stack of clearance, even with the body mounted low.

'simple household screw connector' actually [;)]

Haven't got the soldering iron to do the job yet, and these work incredibly fine

With the amount of patience I got for fiddly stuff, they'll probably be permanent anyhow [8D]

Next one'll be better, I promise

Not really, I love moggies, had 3, down to 2 now [:(]. Our *****cats like the taste of a nice bite of human too.

Oh, and I agree, the wires oughta be soldered, using a nice Weller iron and colour co-ordinated heatshrink, would look very yummy. Bring the beast to Snet and I'll solder it for you if you want [:D]

Hey Mat

The car started as a Bullhead, but you could use a ClodBuster too.

All that's left of the original kit are the gearboxes at each end.

Everytyhing in between the front and rear wheels is part of the Ripper chassis, which is the name given to the kit of parts.

Have a look here; www.thundertechracing.com (spelling edit [:I])
