a couple of weeks ago, i won an auction on ebay for a pair of optima bodyshells. the seller was a chap in germany, but his feedback was private. overall, his rating was good - he has got some negative feedback though. i,ve never deal with this chap before, and the item hasn,t arrived yet - 2 weeks from germany to the UK, surely the post can,t be that slow can it?. i,m not going to slag anyone off here, i just want to know whether or not he,s a reliable seller or not, and whether or not i should be getting ready to try and chase him up. i,m getting a little bit nervous because i,m sure i read recently that it was possible to buy feedback?.....wheres the sense in keeping your feedback private - unless you,ve got something to hide...

i,m going to give it until the weekend and then contact him. i just thought i,d ask here to see if any of you lot have dealt with him. as i dont want to hassle him just yet....

perhaps i,m just flapping over nothing........

Only joking, never heard of him Have you e-mailed him with a polite chase up? Did you pay through Pay pal? The German ebayers seem to be into the private bidder/ item thing.... Worries me sometimes too, I don't think you should be able to do that.

i paid him with paypal pretty much straight away - he gave me an account to pay into, so i used it. it all seemed pretty good. i never heard from him again though...but i must admit, i haven,t tried to contact him yet. i was going to wait until sunday - knowing my luck, the minute i chase him up the parcel will arrive [:I].

I've corresponded with aros1935 before. He sells a lot of the vintage Tamiya and Kyosho stuff at a discount of US ebay prices. Also he's one of the few German sellers who can take Paypal. Although I've not bought anything from him yet, his emails were all very courteous and helpful in answering the questions I had.

2 weeks and more from Germany to UK or vice versa are not something unusual, trust me. Also many sellers ship only once a week (which is ok IMHO, if it isnt a professional seller) so it can be that your parcel is just one week on the run.

as far as i know the payment has been accepted - paypal doesn,t seem to confirm anymore whether or not the payments been accepted,not like it used to?. if the shells dont arrived on saturday, then i,ll drop him a polite email. he answered my previous emails about the item, before i bid on it in quick time. so i don,t see communication being a problem.

one shell was a tidy looking turbo shell, and the other one was the original style optima shell, also looked tidy. []

i guess i,m just a big kid when it comes to waiting for parcels, and i can,t wait for them to arrive [][:I].
