My Monster Beetle (Bert) - it was meant to be for Wireless but I fell instantly in love with it and so I kept it. [:X]

Although the 959 was the first Tamiya I ever bought (for Wireless's Christmas present) I don't *really* like it. The 959 doesn't seem to me to have a personality like Bert. Perhaps I will get to like it when he has built it.

Mine has to be my monster beetle too. It just has character, looks great, has a bit of meat on it and just keeps on going....rather like a fine woman....[:D]. Mine will be a whole lot better when its finished, and not still a box of parts!

If I had to pick one I would say my Mountaineer. Really I couldn't pick just one. I would say my Mountaineer, My hilux and my Runner Rough Rider.

Mountaineer becAUse I have spent countless hours restoring, polishing and painting. It took me a whole day just to make the wiring harness for the headlights, brake lights and turn signals.

Hilux, I spent a lot of time restoring. The paint came out better than my Mountaineer.

Runner Rough Rider because it has alot of Hop-ups that are very hard to come by.

[:D]Actually, my pride of joy in your collection is your runner Rough Rider!![:D]

That is a lovely car. The Rothmans design looks even better than the original Orange/white scheme.

Thanks Bibbo for the compliment. I have always like the Rothmans scheme. If you look in my showroom you will see other examples. I just wanted something different. I have a New rough rider body and decals so if I ever get the itch, I am going to paint one up like the box art.

Actually I have just noticed your Tamtech F1 in Rothmans colours. So I guess you really like it?

I used to work as a mechanic in motorcycle grand prix racing. The first team I worked for was the Rothmans Honda team. I still have some of the team clothing in my basement, it look really nice in Rothmans colours.

[:D]Maybe I should paint my cars in the design and wear the clothing when I drive it!!!...[:D]

Propably many have already guessed it, for me its my Holiday Buggy as its my first Tamiya, which I got 19 years ago. Other cars also mean alot to me, but I can rebuy them anytime, but you cannot rebuy the same first car you own... [;)]

For me it is my new bilt 959... I wanted one for so long and it has lived up to every expectation in terms of fun to build, design, looks etc...

I agree with Theo though... if I still had my original SS that would be my favorite!

Mines got to be my restored Wild Willy. I had a Sand Scorcher as a kid and have another now which I love, but the one I really wanted at the time was the Wild Willy.

For me it is the Bruiser. I never previously owned one. Back in the days, I used to visit the local hobby shop just to see the mighty big box sit on the shelf. With a price tag of $350, that was too much money for a poo 7th grader in 1989. Now, I own two Bruisers, one kept in the box for me to admire.

Chris i would have to agree with you. Your restored ww1 is a very nice piece. Some day I am going to grab a WW1.

You are SOO right on the first car! I kept my Fighter Buggy and it is still very dear to me. I willl never sell it (as it will fetch me only €5 anyway... [xx(] LOL )

To me, the Holiday Buggy is very important as well. It inspired me to search for cars of past times, they are some sort of mysterious. I am very glad my Sand Rover project is comming along very well, this won't make my HB feel lonely anymore! [;)] Thanx to everyone who help me with these, especially blondiniboy. Cheers m8! [:D]

Today, I can't reall pick a favorite anymore. When I was young, running around with my Fighter Buggy, It was the King Blackfoot (which is dear to me as well). Today, the pride of the vintage cars is the new built Martini Mk.22 Renault; just becuase it is different. Nobody seems to be very interrested in them too... But the Blackfoot is very nice as well. I just can't pick, so it's a good thing I got them all... And don't forget to mention my HotShot! It is getting harder to pick every minute... [:)]

AS all of you know, my very favorites cars aren't mine yet! [;)] I just love metal RC cars (racing buggies and 3-speeders). Maybe not very origional as everyone is after them, but still these are most appealing to me. I am also a great fan of cars that are strange or revolutionary or special in some sort of way, such as the 959, B2B sidecar and Tyrrell Six Wheeler. Just love 'em all! [:o]

Since I only have a single car, the Manta Ray you can guess what my pride and joy is :).

One month ago I made up my mind to deck it out with all possible options which currently include the Manta Ray FRP chassis, aluminium motor mount and new antenna. I've set aside $50 a month for the project which should last me until about march 2004.

I've also started looking at a few other Tamiyas and hope they'll make a glow engine buggy some day since buggies are really my favorite.

If I come across a cheap model new I'll buy it though, and currently the Toyota Celica GT four and New Beetle are on sale at my fave store.

not Tamiya I know...  My SG Columbia Mk2 (I used to race them in the early 80's).  Tamiya = my racing Rough Rider, comes with a full set of period racing bits, including a Thorp wing (never seen one except in Phil Greeno's 80's adds) and a Thorp diff :-)

My PB Mustang X3 has a place in my heart too.... oh not forgeting my Kyosho Land Jump 4x4...
