With my old standard 540 motor it was easy to see what holes to fix the motor onto the motor mount with however with my new motor, instead of having one hole at top and one hole at bottom, it has two holes at top and two holes at bottom, and they are not the same position as the 540. I am using the same pinion (19T) which came with the kit, and I have experimented with different 'hole combinations' to find one which seems to fit ok, but im not sure its right [8)] the gearbox does make a loud 'chatty' sound which doesnt seem normal. im using a psk2 motor. I could add pics if no-on understands what i mean.

Cheers

Modified motors have 2 sets of holes, but you need to make sure that when you mount the motor you use the holes you use are directly opposite each other (i.e. if you imagine a line between the holes you are using the line should cross the centre line of motor)

I dont think it can though, coz it if i were to say mount it in the top left hole (of the double holes) then its not possible to mount the second in the bottom hole directly opposite , as the holes wont line up [8)]

it should do as the standard 540 silver cans holes are directly opposite each other, if you look at it.

So as you say if you hold the P2k2 in with pinion facing you and holes at top and bottom, if you use the top left hole you need to use bottom right hole and there fore if using top right hole you need to use bottom left hole.

hi, thanks. yeah I just checked and thats how i have it top right/bottom left, or top left/bottom right. Im going to take my car to LHS tomoroow and see if the sound its making is ok, and get them to have a look at it.

thanks

Hi its the TT01, the motor mount has 8 hole evenly placed around, but it doesn't have the 'pairs' like on the motor and so i was a bit confused as to how it was supposed to go.

i have the TT-01 chassis and the motor had to be be moved to fit a new pinoin so it should be the same for the new motr just keep moving the motor mount until it stops making the horrible noises as mine has done that as well
