Always interested when you are running an auction to see how many bids you get in relation to the number of 'watchers'. When I sold my real car I had 36 watchers and only 2 bids. Other times you can have 2 watchers and both bid.

What experience do you guys have with this? Is there a correlation?

Just interested.

Well I don't sell on ebay very often, but right now I'm watching 53 items.

Of those 53 I will probably only bid on 2-3. Of those 2-3 I will be lucky to get 1. [:P]

I've bid on 12 items also, but those were mostly when they were dirt cheap and to help keep my watching items down.

I remember when ebay only allowed 20 items to be watched at once. I had to get another couple of user names as my "watching" section was always full. [:P]

Personally i do watch some items to see their relative value as i am still quite new to the hobby and I see this as research so that when something is for sale either through TC or the bay I can realistically put in an offer or bid and not be laughed at or insult anyone. It also stops me asking on forums ' how much is ......worth? '.

Others in my watch list I will bid on but sometimes bidding can go silly and I'll just watch out of curiosity - again for me learning the ball-park figures for tamiya's.
