Why not? You've got 2 arms 2 legs and not disabled in any way are you?

Everyone's gotta start from somewhere, even Billy Gates started off

flogging PCs in his dorm room.

Find somewhere you can race, maybe a local parking lot?

Get the owner's permission definitely, don't trespass.

Send out a pile of flyers, stick them at local milkbars etc.

You'll be surprised how many RC cars are out there, there must

be another tonne sold for last xmas so NOW is a great time to

hook them all before the newbies lose interest in their RC toy.

and that goes for everyone here at TamiyaClub. So many nice people here [;)]

Hi i heard that tamiya shells tend to break easily when racing, and even though hpi and protoform dont have as much detail as tamiya, they will last longer.

Tamiya shells are more scale-looking so they might have more sharp

edges in the detail... perhaps these edges make it more fragile?

The material isn't any noticeably thinner or anything, otherwise.

HPI shells are OK but Protoform/Proline and most of the other

racing shells are very "stylised"... they don't really follow

the real car's shape methink (as if we knew what a Dodge Stratus

looks like in real life Down Under anyway [|)]).

I don't run Tamiya shells so can't really say. The guys that do seem

to get at least the same life out of them as any other shell though.

I do a pretty good job of ripping Protoforms apart. I'm real

cheapskate and too lazy to buy/trim/fit/paint new shells so always,

ShoeGoo & gaffatape is my friend. [:P][:D]

Yeah mine handles really well at my local club, i'm doing pretty well there with it. Alot of people are like 'oh is that a tamiya' as if they're saying its total rubbish, but mine handles just as well and can go as fast as some of the other makes that they have there. After all speed isn't everything.

I guess I'll just have to show em on the tarmac...

(or carpet!)[:D]
