When to take action??

I won a Mountaineer blister pack from a seller in Germany. I paid him 4/12 and he claimed to have sent the package on 4/18 and said it should take 12 to 14 working days to arrive. It has now been 22 days. I have never waited this long for any transaction including overseas and I'm not to sure how long I should wait to file a complaint with ebay and paypal.

Curious if anybody else here bought anything from merville888 and might be having the same problem. Not sure if I'm supposed to give his name. I apologize in advance If I'm not

Rabid is right, give it a bit more time. Sometimes the mail people can get pretty lame about delivering things

Think there are some public holidays all around, a well,

4 days -overtime- is not so insane.

You could ask him for a tracking number, about anything now

is trace-ble these days (even if you don't have payed for it)

In the netherlands it is standaard service now for native parcels.

Take action soon!! If you wait too long then Pay-Pal or eBay won't help as they have a time limit!!(Which I think is 30 days!!)

22 days for a package from Germany to the uSA seems to me to be a bit long!! Assuming it was sent Air-Mail??

Hi clayfist, under normal circumstances I would also agree, to give some additional time to him. But after I've seen the EBay ID I can only give you the advice to take action, because this guy is not very confident. I heard this from another EBayer, which sold him a NIB Mounty, and had trouble getting his money from him.

In the last email he sent(4/27) he said it shipped via DHL. He has not returned any emails since then. There is also two other buyers who he wont return any emails to.

I paid with a credit card. Would it be easier to do a charge back or go through paypal. I've never had this problem before and dont really know how to go about it. I do know $400 is alot to get burned out of.

I would suggest going through PayPal. Ask them what you can do. Also give him a last mail, in which you inform him, what you are planning to do and ask him for the tracking number. Maybe it isn’t really his failure?[?] But to be convinced its not his failure, first you need the tracking number to check it.

Thanks Rudi. I filed with paypal. If its not his failure then he's got the option to respond to paypals email and produce a tracking #. But I have a feeling I wont be seeing any tracking #. He told another buyer "they spilled wine over the air bill and only could read part of the address and German Deutch Post sent him notification" Hmmm?

Maybe they spilled wine over all his packages

Blister pack for $400? [:0]

I have had any shipping time from uSA to Germany from 4 days to 6 weeks, all airmail, so I would give the guy a chance. If he has sent it DHL Paket airmail it is anyway insured so need to worry.

$400 is not that bad considering the amount you would spend on each part separately. Not exactly a bargain either though. It is tough to find some of those parts NIB, especially the rear axle.

But I really have a feeling I wont be getting it anyway.

Anybody else have a blister pack for sale?!?
