It´s really "something" me off[:(!]

Paid him the same day, and got a mail a week later from him asking me to leave feedback when i got the item and if pleased with it.

Replied and said that i´ve left positive feedback.

ONE MONTH AFTER, STILL NOTHING!

Left a message thru ebay messages where i "reminded" him of this.

He has bought stuff as far as i´ve seen, but not left any feedback for anyone else for a month or so.

I mean, he sends a mail reminding me to leave feedback, and then he just ignores it himself. WHAT A LOOSER.

Ok, i know you can leave feedback for 90days or so, but why wait. I´ve "something" paid the nutcase.

Ok, i´ll settle down here, it´s not like i didnt recieve the packet, that would be much worse of cource.

But this just sets me off.

Oh yeah, replace "something" with word of choice, like darn or similar[;)]

I agree chasing someone for feedback then not leaving any yourself is a bit off.

But on the other hand, I personally am terrible at leaving feedback. Its nothing personal and there are no hidden motives just one of those things I forget. To be honest its not something i usually forget completely, rather something I do in batches onces every month or so. I'm a busy man and its just more efficient for me to do it this way. I guess what makes me different to your guy though is I never ever chase it either.

I've actually thinking of putting something like "I do not guarentee to leave feedback" in my terms and conditions, just because I have had one or two 'unreasonable' people getting upset when they don't get it next day. Its daft really the transaction went well, and I would have left feedback at some point, then you get an abusive message from them demanding feedback right now and they spoil it. At that point there is no way I'd leave feedback. I've got no problems though with being reminded as long as its polite.

Oi netsmithUK!

I think that is terrible! A busy man!! Not to busy to buy the stuff in the first place. Akemag, my advice is nag the death out of the blighter :-))

I guess he could have some legit reason for this, but it just doesent feel like that.

I´d sure like to "spam" him, but am afraid of getting a neg from him.

I´ll give him a while to sober up, and then i´ll make a follow up on my feeback to him i think.

lol - I don't quite see the connection - i could be busy doing any number of things, including listing more items on ebay, all of which make me money and so take a higher priority. Quite often I only leave feedback the next time I come to ebay to sell stuff?

I was just trying to explain that different people have different approaches to leaving feedback.I don't think anywhere in ebay rules do its state you MUST leave feedback at all, let alone within a given time frame. There are a million reasons to get worked up about ebay, not getting feedback is the least of them in my opinion.

I'm not sure how you can possibly think 'nagging' or 'spamming' someone is going to make them think "What a great transaction that was i'll leave a positive" If anything you run the risk of spoiling a good transaction into bad/average one.

Like I said before, I agree chasing feedback and not leaving it is bad form though.

Come on lads, most of you are only interested in getting feedback to boost your "score" anyway - I've only come across maybe 1 in 100 feedbacks on ebay which are proper feedback, most of them are just the usual "A+++++++++++++++++++++++++" type rubbish.

Sit back and relax a bit, it's only a point on a trading board after all!

I had a seller that pestered me to leave feedback before he would leave any for me. I pointed out that as my side of the deal was completed first (I paid him quickly) that surely he should leave feedback first. He quickly replied that he had left me feedback so could I now leave him feedback. Like Chris I usually leave feedback in batches every so often. As I did not leave feedback immediately I kept getting emails from him.

The feedback I left pointed out it was a good deal, but that he pestered me until I left feedback.

To each his own and let each be there own. Does it really matter? I can understand if you have zero, and want build a reputation. But a 100 pos or 1000 pos? Doesn't mean much to me. If the seller is dishonest, it will wash out in the end.

Well, if he hadnt mailed me asking for feedback, it wouldnt nag me as much as it does.

But as said, if something is to go wrong in a deal, this sure is the least important part.

But still...

I also got the same email requesting that I leave the seller a feedback. It's a little bothersome when I paid the same day and yet the seller will not leave a feedback until I would leave a feedback first.

If you paid in a timely manner, your feedback should reflect that, instead of getting a positive feedback only if you do the same.

But, we all know that eBay is far from perfect(very far).

If I sell something I only leave feedback after they leave feedback through the years i have learned just because someone pays for something really fast and they expect feedback back from seller they usually love to retaliate with negative once they recieved the item and there was nothing wrong and guess what I cant leave negative back since he forced me to leave positive all becuase he felt it needed it after paying it so fast.

That's true, When I sell something I'll sometimes leave feedback first or other times after it's been left for me, depends how I feel at the time really.

If I'm a buyer and I'm not happy for some reason I tend to just not bother leaving feedback.

As i went to my ebay to look whats going on, i noticed that he had left me feedback, at last!

I´m now up to the whopping score of:21[:D]

It hasnt been for free to get there so to speak...

if im selling and someone pays me then i leave feedback as soon as ive recieved payment, after all, they cant do anymore can they, they have paid and kept their side of the deal,if they then get a bad product and leave neg feedback then they have everyright to do so,if they get a good product and leave bad feedback then you can always follow up with a reply cant you?

I am very lasy at feedback... When buying electronic I usually wait untill I have tested it and it may take some times. when doing so I leave a mail to the seller explaining that he will receive feedback but not right now. On the other side when selling I leave feedback right away for 20+ feedback buyers, but only leave feedback after I have received mine for 10- buyers. It might look tough but a 0 feedback buyer equals a buyer who does not understand what a neutral means...

At the end if I am happy with a transaction I leave feedback (as stated it may take time), If I am not totally happy I send a mail and no feed back (I did it twice), If I am totally unhappy I leave neg (it happened to me only once). But all in all I am rety happy with ebay feedback mechanism, as long as you deal with a 50+ users chances to be scam are low: 3 bad deals 0 negs received after 4 years is not so bad in the end.
