Sorry guys, but better to ask then to find out the hard way...

Im thinking of buying a new car soon and was wondering which of the 3 is the best Chassis on the market...

TA04-S

TB02 (How is it better than an '01 and doe sit still have the drivers?)

TT01 (I get the feeling this is an easy (TL01 type) kit

Basically I want the best speed and handelling and dont care if it takes me a year to put together!!!

Im quite tempted by the TA04's

OR How easy is it to make a twin engined chassis (and which parts)

Many thanks for any help!

I would go for the TA-04, or the TB-02. Those are the highest spec kits... [;)]

TT-01 is a cheapish TB01 like car, with a plastic propshaft. Smells like Striker dogbones such plan Tamiya had there when they desgned it...

TB-02 is a whole sifferent car than a TB-01. In chassis layout it looks more like a TBEvoIII than a TB-01, which has some (only SOME) similaries in design with a TBEvo or TBEvo2... The TB-02 is not really a rallycar (yet), but a touring car. It doesn't have the drivers and most kits come with tourer bodies instead of rally cars...

TA-04S is a standard TA-04, with full ball bearings (and turnbuckles?) My experience with the TA-04 is good, it's a well responding car, very easy to drive and pretty quick too. But I'm not really into competative racing.

For a twin motor (not engine [;)] ) car mating a TA-03R rear gearbox and a TA-03F front gearbox together on the standard thub will do the trick.

I have got 2 TBEvo1's and those are quite nice cars that can be found at reasonable prices. Still haven't run the runner much yet, but I will soon... [8D]

Yes, but it's still not HALF as good as a stock TA-04 or TB02. Trying to make a TT-01 a bit 'raceworthy' is going to be a lot of hassle and very costly - if possible at all. [V]

I'm getting ready to list my TL-01LA chassis on ebay this Sunday or Monday - email me before then if you're interested. This is the chassis I used last year to race in the Tamiya TCS GT-3 class. It won a lot of races at my local club weekend races, and is very competitive with the TA04 chassis racers. I used the setup instructions from the Tamiya website for the XB TL01 and it works great, with some minor tweaking with tires and springs for individual tracks and temps.

The chassis is in excellent condition, with no cracked or broken parts. Here are some of the features: Long supspension arms, Lightweight chassis/frame, Lightweight FRP rear gearbox plate, Lightweight carbon propeller shaft, Full set of genuine Tamiya blue seal ball bearings (24), Lightweight hollow gear shafts (4), Lightweight 5mm aluminum ball connectors, Stainless steel suspension shafts, TA03 ball differential with tungsten carbide diff balls, Speed tuned gear set, Adjustable front and rear camber links, Adjustable steering links, Rear toe-in uprights, Front and rear sway bar set, Oil filled shocks with tuned spring set, Tamiya Type A tires, Tamiya assembly manual, Large quantity of spare chassis parts. Probably some more items I haven't thought of yet, too.

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

The Tamiya America website has offered me more choice [:(]

Now it looks like...

TA04-s

TA04 -r

TB02

Im intertested in the TB02... Am I right in thinking that it is mostly adjustable. AND most of the bits from the Evo III can be bolted on???

Is the TA03 R any good???

Thanks for all your help so far
