i can see thats a 7 day listing and has not had any bids yet so it looks like the value of vintage rc's has dropped a lot since the re-release. i might have payed that before tamiya said they was re-releasing it. but i got 2 for cheaper than that when they first was re-released a few months back. but still it a nice find but i dout he will sell it for what he is asking

I'm not sure that is a great deal. It is shrink wrapped but the box is damaged on the right side and the price is high. There is a seller called Tamiya-RC and he has one for $360 in his eBay shop (not shrink wrapped and shipping costs are high).

Maybe shrink wrapped kits is suppose to be a bit more expensive but I'm pretty sure I would feel the need to open it and check the contents. And that box has too much damage for my liking.

Now I'm not in to collecting vintage NIBs since they're so expensive so I would just buy a re-release and bash around.[}:)]

If this is your auction just let me know and I'll edit/delete my post. Don’t want to ruin somebody’s auction with my speculation.[:I]

John, it's a nice kit, but the price is a bit high and today you can shrinkwrap all of your kits by getting a shrinkwrapper on ebay.

By the way, just wanted to let you know that you might want to remove the Ebay link before Chris finds it and gets P.O. I accidentally posted one last week and he removed it due to being against Club rules. [:)]

LOL - it doesn't annoy me at all, just doing my job and keeping the place in order ;) Nothing personal as I appreciate not everyone reads the rules or have been around for all the discussions which lead up to them being introduced, which is why and point them out.

As I said anyone is free to post a link when the auction is over. Seeing as most of the debate is wether its worth the money or not, I guess after it ends we'll have a better idea, ie if it sells or not?

Cheers

Chris

Please nooooo!!! (screaming in panic)[:D] LOL. The discussion about shrink vs. non shrink wrapped kits has been done in several previous topics before (use the search function on shrink or sealed), better read those first and reply to those if you have something to add about them, before starting another resultless fight about them, err meant productive discussion [:P] LOL

Cheers

The thing about the Lunchbox rere is aside from the decals, it's virtually identical to the original release so prices on the original will drop dramtically.

Being shrinkwrapped means nothing to me as my LHS has a srinkwrap machine that they shrink all the kits with.
