i got a tt-01 and whenever i crash it once the steering gets knocked out and truns one direction so i have to set the steering on the remote control again and turn the wheels ,but im going racing on thursday and dont want it happening in a race,i'd be screwed if it did

anyone know how i can stop it from getting stuck?

sounds like maybe the servo saver is slipping a tooth on the servo??

If so it's possible you have the wrong number of teeth on the servo saver.

Also it'll be easier to figure this one out by looking at it, so maybe someone at your club will be able to help you out before you start racing.

Hi thats happened to me before, but it hasn't got stuck completly one way,[8)][?] just knocks the steering off center slightly, and so i have to adjust trim on my radio gear. Have you perhaps got another servo you could try?

well whta ius happening to my one is exactly whta u just said..

and i aint got n e other servo's, whats wrong with it?

Souds like a worn/damaged servo horn, as mentioned above, or you may have fitted the wrong one when you built it.

Once it's started jumping off the servo, it's only going to deteriorate.

No, its probably more due to Tamiyas being more prone to 'tweaking'

due to the amt of plastic in the whole steering system.

Biggest culprit is the servosaver. If you can change it to something

from eg Kimbrough it'll solve half your tweak problems. Or as a temp

measure, wrap a cabletie not-too-tightly around the C-spring of

the servosaver and take a testdrive (nb this negates most of

the servosaver's functionality).

The Tamiyas with the CF/FRP & alloy bits and the hi-grade servosaver

usually suffer less tweak than their plastic cousins. The hi-grade

Tamiya servosaver has three metal C-springs instead of molded.

The servo saver Willy is talking about is the Tamiya Hi-Torque servo saver, part nr. 50473. There is also a black one of these, part nr. is 51000 - Tamiya's 1000th spare part! [8D]

I have them fitted to several of my cars and I'm very happy with them. They can be a bit costly though, I got mine from Germany for €9 a piece, from HK sellers on eBay I saw the black ones for sale for $6.70.
