OK, this is not just because I want to show off my site, but I'm just sure you'll be interrested. I'd also appreciate it if you'd left a fair rating/comment in the guestbook. Again many thanx, I open to any idea or sugestion to improve my site. Thnx. icon_smile.gif

I had problems before with Web1000 and pages with unsuitable content, as some of you might have noticed. (like Chris, he sees everything! icon_smile_wink.gif) These problems are all solved now, it is now hosted by another host, so these problems should not and will not occur again in the future. I am very sorry for all the trouble this has caused to you all. Enjoy my site and keep on collecting! icon_smile_cool.gif

And about those 7 cars, the best thing of it was a complete buthered Sand Rover, a Ferrari F1 (the one of with the re-relaese was made, but this is the origional) and a Super Hornet.... icon_smile_sad.gif I'll strip the Sand Rover for parts to get my Holiday buggy complete. The bumper will be glued together since this is al boken in 2 and half of it was screwed back.... icon_smile_sad.gif Also got a motor plate now, but it's different form the one in the booklet and it can't be home made. This car also has one gear less than my HB! icon_smile_shock.gif Anyone any ideas how this is possible? Thnx icon_smile.gif

It may be that the SR and HB came with the option of either 540 motor or the smaller 340 (?) both had different mounting plates i think and depending on which motor you used you either had 2 or 3 gears to go with it.

I think the SR had the smaller motor, and the HB was the same but came with the bits needed to hop it up for a 540

Cheers

HUH? My holiday buggy has BOTH an extra gear AND the 540 motor on it. Maybe because the motor plate has messed with... icon_smile_wink.gif

Also strange why a SR has this part included and a HB don't....

Well, I got them both now, and it look kinda funny. Though I've got to go get myself another of these cars since the second one was way worn out and incomplete. It's only use is to strip parts fronm, and the body will be fixed. I can't use it on my HB because the **** rear SR body mounting it came with are broken (BOTH!) Else I could use the SR body... icon_smile_sad.gif

Is it true the HB body is made of soft plastic and the SR's of a way harder plastic? at least mine are... icon_smile.gif (maybe it's all a fake! icon_smile_shock.gif)

There do seem to be quite a few HB fakes around, fairly easy to spot though. Generally softer pastic, no driver, sometime a sound box attached, I think the chassis had a lid(?) SNollan is the biggest HB fake expert I know- I think Theo has one too.

No No Chris. Nice try, but mine's 100% real. the chassis says 'RC 1/10 Holiday Buggy', without a lid. Also no sound box and the driver is present.

I'm now looking for the Sand Rover Body mounts, I've a crappy Sand Rover body which should be easy to repair and the chassis is the same anyway. How do you take out the HB roll bar anyway? Is this possible WITHOUT brutal force and massive destruction of vintage parts? icon_smile.gif

I can take the front body mount thingy from the HB (bit of a shame though, but I have no choice really...). The rears are way different, mines are broken icon_smile_sad.gif The window can be made new by myself, and the rear lights, roll bar, window frame etc. is all there. I also have aquired a new motor mount for it, a 540 Sand Rover's. Also a nice and white gear set, so everything should be okay if I get the mounts. Anyone? icon_smile_big.gif
