My Vintage Tamiya website.....

Recommended Posts

Hi!

Thank you all for the kind words, they encourage me to add more info to my site.

As I now have.... :-)

I have added a new "Tech" section, and more cars, decals, mauals, vintage promo videos, and a lot more, so take a look.

Also check out the handy "Parts" section. It's useful when trying to figure out what parts should be included in those ebay/TC auctions/trades.

Hi, I have just updated www.TamiyaBase.com again, the site has now caught up with my current collection :-)

hope you add some more decals on.

I have added three more decals :)

I'm a fan of your "Library" section !

The library section now has 19 new posters, 3 new Guide Books and 2 new manuals.

I have also added more Spare Parts listings, Tech Tips, Box Art, 1 to 1 Scale info, etc, etc.. :P

Take a look, there is something for everyone :-)

But we cann't print the poster.

Sure you can, just open the high resolution scan, right click on the image, and choose "Print Image" (or something like that)

The logo will still be there though... I am thinking of a solution to that...

Loved the 100 first poster. Wish it was like my local chinese takeaway:

"hello-tamiya:"

"hi, can i get a number 1, a 49, two number 3's and a bag of prawn crackers please!"

Well, I would not have used this "first100 poster" for ordering...

Take a closer look at the numbers, there are plenty of errors!

Like, what did you expect to get on your "no. 49" order?? Toyota Toms or Bruiser ?

I once started listing the errors, but gave up, there are quite a few... :-D

I'll be updating TamiyaBase soon with more additions to my collection :-)

The tamiya press vid of the 2 x 959's with one of them full opposite lock sideways on tarmac is just jaw dropping...

Hi Lars.

I realy enjoyed looking through your site.

Not only is it difficult putting these models together but to have a fantastic website showing all your hard work off must be very rewarding.

Congratulations on a superb collection.

I loved the one to one section, just how cool is that full scale sandscorcher.

Having restored lots of vw beetles i never for once thought of doing a SS replica, always dreamt of doing a herbie but never did.

Hi all, and again thank you for the kind words.

I have just updated www.TamiyaBase.com. More Guidebooks, videos and technical stuff is now available.

Also note the parts section (HERE) where you can easily find out what those parts bag announced on Ebay and TC really contains, as it is often hard to see in the pictures. I find myself using it quite a lot :-)

Thank you for looking!

Great site, I'm enjoying the promo video section, reminds me of watching them in my LHS window when I was younger :)

Hi all,

This is just to let you know that I have updated www.TamiyaBase.com again.

There is a lot of new Box Art, among other things.

Agian, thank you to all for the nice comments. It keeps me going :-)

Let me know if you have any suggestions or requests for the site.

Kaminagayuchi:

Sorry, have not had time to look into how to safely remove the logo. So for now it will stay like that. :-)

Hi larbut,

really enjoy visiting your site, great Tamiya resource. Thanks for taking the time to put it all together.

Just a question, is it possible to get some of the pics without the "www.tamiyabase" across them? I love the pic of the Porsche 956 Newman in the 1984 Catalogue version and would love to use it as a desktop pic
