"Gravel Hound" looks interesting - 4wd shaft offroader, but which chassis is it based on??? TT-01 I reckon.

And now they have that cheap ESC, it "looks" like the MSC's day in basic Tamiya kits are over! Hooray! Maybe next will be ballraces for every kit...

You can't have a tamiya release without one Whats that all about then? in it. Hail to the SuperClodbuster Extreme XLT for filling that void.

Thank God for Uncle Sam and my tax return because it looks like a Leopard is in my Future. I also like the buggy and the new Volks as well.

Is it just me or is that a topforce body????

WOW!!! [8D]

Indeed it looks like they do listen.........

Had a funny feeling they might do a XC Toureg- but surprized no Nissan Dakar pickup, with Tamiya's strong working reletionship with Nissan?

(I"m not complaining though[;)])

Updated Clod looks good to -and staying with the original body, nice[:)]

New 4wd Offroader -guess that's filling the shoes of the Neo Shot??

All in all a good set of releases.....

P.S. Also surprized no Updated Focus (bp) & Lancer WRC evo8? (guess that's just me dreaming as usual!!![|)][|)]

The Volkswagen Race-Touareg looks interesting. I wonder if it will have a lexan (most likely) or a hard plastic body (I wish)?

Whaaaat no Subaru Impreza [:(]

Also what do you think about the new paints?? Linoleum Deck Brown? You know that's real close to the Fall Guy brown.

How much will the ESC raise the cost of the kits?? It can;t be that much or else people will walk away.

Wow, very nice realeases. That Porsche Carrera GT - they must be kidding me! Didn't even dare to dream about it! What will it be released on - a TA-05, based on the TRF415 yet more plasticy? [8D]

I am staggered... the first release for ages that has caught my imagination!!! All of them seem above the usual average thing I have got so used to seeing.

Personally it is the toureg for me... somebody said they would love to see the Nissan... give them time, if this is the resurrection of the XC chassis then Tamiya are not stupid and will release loads of bodies for it because they do have so many licenses witrh ford and mitsubishi and nissan etc.

Now excited about a new purchase!!! or two

Hmm, I liked the look of that Gravel Hound, but then saw the spec. Shame it's not as high spec as the cancelled Neo Shot [:(] Could be nice with some hopups like oil dampers though.

Its been said before and I'll say it again, Awesome line up. Tamiya Really do listen, and that Gravel Hound is a wolf in sheeps clothing, has far far more potentiality than the Neo Shot.

From where do you base that? [?] I thought the Neo Shot was going to be a mid-class racer with belt-drive while this one is an entry kit, RTR with friction shocks? [?]

Still looks nice [:)]

According to Tamiya:

The TEU-101BK is an easy to use ESC that boasts all the functions of the highperformance TEU-302BK with power output equivalent to the CPR-01. With size and shape virtually the same as the TSU-01, the TEU-101BK can be fitted in most old RC cars.

High quality FET with output compatible with up to a sports tuned class motor.

So something like 23T limit, if its cheap, why not, much better then a MSC.

Cheers

id="quote">id="quote">When I first saw the pic of the Gravel Hound, I was well pleased, it does look nice. When I read the spec (Ready To Run/Friction Shocks) it put quite a damper on it for me. The car looks good, but I wanna build it, not just open the box. Changing the dampers and putting in some bearings just isn't the same as seeing the car evolve from a box of plastic bits and screws.
