I had a NIB Body kit that I sold on ebay. Very good detail rivaling Tamiya bodies, extensive decals and accessories. If you've seen the Cobra and the 67 Vette from the same series you can see what I mean. However they are listed as 1/8.8 scale so they are a little bigger than most bodies and I dont know how they would fit on non Kyosho chassis. Wish I still had one though

The 1:1 250GTO is actually a pretty tiny car... so to fit the standard 1/10th chassis they probably fudged the numbers. They also had the MGB made the same physical size as the Stingray Corvette... I think they'd differ quite a bit in 1:1 size.

I think its just a matter of semantics... Kyosho was always more "accurate" with their numbers than others. Note the 1/9th scale trucks, etc.

Then again, they've got the "Scale Series" Ferrari F40 which they call 1/10, even though its on a TGX/SuperTen sized long OptimaMid chassis. And everyone knows how small an F40 really is in real life.

All the classic series Kyosho bodies (except the Mini and the Fiat 500) have the "normal" touring car wheelbase (approx. 260mm), but they are about 200mm wide, so if you want to use it on any of the Tamiya touring cars chassises, you have to use a combination of wide tires/wheels, long wheel axles (TL01, TB01, FF02, TA01, TA02W, TA02 & FF01 rear -> 50808. TA02 & FF01 front, TA03 -> 53332). Also, on some of the wider bodies (yes, they differ), I have used Hummer suspension arms. A Tamiya F101, F102 and F103 chassis can be used as well (correct width and wheelbase), but the wheels and tires won't look very authentic!

Some of these Kyosho bodies aren't really of good quality. I've painted them all, many of them several times. Some have thin spots, rough surfaces here and there, and some details, that on the original join the body "seemlessly", they look very "bolt-on". The 250 GTO is quite good, but the rear end doesn't look quite right.
