I just noticed on e-bay that the Kyosho bikes are quite cheap ( around $70 plus shipping )

Has anybody got one of these? are they any good?

the kyosho bikes (1/8 scale) arent too bad been around for a while can be difficult to handle but detail is good one problem is they need special radio gear.... the new bikes out though are nuova faor (1/5th scale) now these are fairly easy to get the hang of and take all usual car radio gear though the price is about £199 and the detail is not anywhere near as good

I ve been racing with kyosho bikes for a long time now (first race with MK1 bike), and with some work to improve kyosho's bike, it becomes a great plesure to drive them.

You only need to have a good steering servo (futaba micro with ball bearings and metal gears), a speed controler with torque and brake control and a radio with steer angle regulation.

for the bike, you ll need a steer damper, soft tires, and a powerfull motor.

The non original parts i made are silicone inserts in the 2 wheels, a hand made lower body part, so you will have to change the position of the ball under the feet because you ll always touch the foot first..

Now with GPM options the bikes look better, but the most import thing of the bike are the tires.

You ll have hours of fun if you get the right grip. I still ride and have 5 bikes, so my opinion is that kyosho bikes are great. Only one problem. How many time will kyosho sell them? you ll need parts to repair....

Hi.

I ve been using for aprox. 7 years now the same servo.

It s a Futaba S3002 with bearings, metal pinions, and a special protection for the pot.

I bought only one 7 years ago and i ve been racing during all this time with the same servo. The greatest invertion done in my bike. It s a very fast bike with big block hpi motor and 8 cells, so i think this servo is very strong.

I used a multiplex programable servo but i burned it in 12 mounths.

These are pretty cool but very slow. I have one with the stock motor and ball bearings. I use a Tamtech CPR unit for it. I was dissapointed with the performance. If you want a really fun motorcycle get a Tyco dirt bike. I have had a lot of fun with mine

As I mentioned before the new 1/5 bikes are cool, handle better... take 1/10 car gear and best of all whatever motor you like I have seen one running a 7 single... wheelies for the fun of it and as fast as you like.

will take mine to the spring meet.

Kyosho bikes are a lot of fun.

You really need the upgraded 28B motor. I used to run mine with the special rc unit and it was okay. To get real performance you can use a one way ESC and a regular RC reciever.

To fit the reciever you will need to remove it from its plastic case and place it in a rubber RC reciever bag. It should then fit inside the rear section of the bike.

The Kyosho hopups are nice (also expensive). The TOPCAD ones are better as they are all titanium and cheaper. I'll definately recommend the aluminum washers.

Hi. Where can you get them for $70? I checked but they're all over $100!!

Inflation might have something to do with that.
