I would like to restore my Chevy but I am not sure If it is possible to get spare parts for this car. I am from Germany and I have looked @ the German Bay sometimes. I did not find Chevys [:(]

Who of you Tamiyaclub guys ownes a Kyosho, Robbe Chevy?

The white and red one is the original one.

Did someone try a nice Tamiya hardbody on this chassis ? Maybe Clodbuster or Ford 150 XLT, Blackfoot? Does it fit?

I've got one - take a look in my showroom. Its not as nice as the one in your picture though [V]

Since I got it a few months ago I've only seen 2 others pass through ebay.

I'd like some decals and body bits if anyone has any.

Cheers

It is not my photo [V]I just found it when I was looking for kyosho chevy on Tamiyaclub.com [:D]

I will take some pictures of my chevy, but I warn you. The chassis looks horrible [:(]

And since I am not able to pay for a bruiser I wantet to put a hardbody on this chassis. At least I would have some thing with a metal ladder frame and more than one speed [:0]

EDIT

The pictures are in my showroom now.

I have one as well, needing medium restoration.

I, like others here, need some parts !! They are a tough find (the parts)........the whole cars seem to be appearing more regularly though.

Hi all,

I got one too (disassembled for resto), but no body and no mech-box-cover. I found out, that the Blazing Blazer body is a perfect fit[}:)]

I thought about converting mine to belt drive [}:)], since I always hated the "rattle-chains" of Kyosho's models [:(!]. It is not complete, so why hesitate [;)].

I guess, it is nearly impossible to find single parts. Only complete cars or construction sites on the market.

Is there anyone with additional info about this truck line? I am looking for pictures to add them to my site, where I refer to my classic Kyosho's. Who has more infos, box arts, about any of those?

Regards

Martin

Finding restauration projects in this series isn't really that hard!

On the German market, Graupner and Robbe have been major actors for decades, and they both marketed and sold this series, although not all versions were sold by both. Accordingly, models from this series can regularly be found on German eBay. As Graupner and Robbe marketed Kyosho as their own brands, many German enthusiasts (and eBay sellers) don't know that these cars originated from Kyosho, so when searching for them, don't tip "Kyosho".

Finding new parts won't be similarly easy though. Traditionally, German hobbyshops don't stock much spareparts, so surplus stock of parts isn't as common as in some other European countries.

Maybe all this doesn't seem relevant for those of you who live outside Germany, but I couldn't resist as Germany surely must be one of the best sources for this car series. Graupner also sold tons of the Scorpion, Scorpion Beetle, Land Jump and some of the other Kyosho cars! [;)]

Yep, miramar,

that's right, but you can try (and I did) the whole bunch of searchwords, I'm no eBay-Newbie. Including wrong spelling. I knew how I got my truck.

Still don't give up ... Anyone with infos? Please!

What do you think? Worth restoring it?

Need at least one new shock (front left side), and the front axles keep falling apart all the times because the pillow balls and ball seats are worn out. Then I would need 2 front swing shafts (bones?) in order to have 4x4 drive again.

A new RC unit box, mirrors, tail lights would be nice to have too [xx(]

I think this truck would be a nice hill climber and trail car because it has no diffs. What do you think? I hardly can remeber what it was like driving it.
