You can try the Tamiya Sport Tuned motor or maybe some mildly modified stock motor like the Orion motors.

I have used the Sport Tuned motor and the Technigold on a MSC with good results.

I've just put an LRP Buggy Special in my Baja Champ, this is a stock motor but slightly tuned. It's made it quite a bit faster, not as fast as a full-on rebuildable stock or modified motor, but it's designed as a drop in replacement for the standard 540 motors, so you don't need to worry about gearing or the MSC burning out (I haven't got the MSC, I use an Mtronics ECO27 and so far it's not blown up or even got particularly hot with this motor).

LRP do a couple of motors in this range, Buggy Special and (I think) Touring Special, and they are only about £12.
