I had one that was tied to a string and then to a nail. The nail was nailed in the middle of the street and car went 'round and 'round. Pretty quickly too IIRC.[]

I think I have one of these (or most of one) at my parent's house (unless they tossed it). It was a hand-me-down from a cousin. No motor or anything. I never did anything with it.

Also have a cox 3-wheel motorcycle from the same time. I believe that one is complete and I did get the motor running once...

Guess what... week before I bought a Hot Wheels KIT Racer (aka Tomy Bit Racer in Japan).

The KIT is a tiny motorised RWD chassis; if your daddy can afford the track setup then it runs in a channel track a-la Tamiya Mini4WD, except Bit Racer is 1/2 the size.

If you don't have the track, KIT also supplies a little tab for the side of the chassis and a 'stake' for the middle of your table. [:I] String *not* provided!

Sigh, nothing much really *new* anymore, huh?
