Rolling chassis is complete. The front CVDs are binding so I may actually install radio equipment and run this puppy to see if they will loosen up. The 410 legend uses a 2 gear front tranny. I have another 4wd rc10 front tranny, and it is 3 gears, with a ball diff. I think its for a prestealth car.

WOW! Just checked out the pics and that buggy is awesome!!!!!!!! Never heard of the MIP 4-10 Legend kit before or even seen a 4wd gold tub rc10 for that matter. I've got major problems with this particular r/c; can't stop collecting and restoring them LOL! :-P Very Nice Bro!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the comments. I had been searching for about 4 years to find new mint components to make this car. It all happened within a month. Unfortunately, its the most expensive car in my collection.

you seem to be interested in all the same cars as myself..

I asked about a mip 4x4 conversion a year or 2 back on robys board, i am interested in the chain drive version. I think someone had one but i didnt have enough cash for it at the time... maybe one day.

A complete chain conversion recently went on ebay for over 250.00. If you are able to make things work, I have a complete front gearbox for a prestealth chain conversion. Its built from all new parts, has bbearings, and a ball diff. Email me if interested. Boompowshazam@aol.com

oldfordguy,

After seeing yours, I've made it my mission to find a complete MIP 4wd conversion kit for as long as I'm in this hobby. Thanks for sharing and please post more details and pics. Thanks Again!

The rear bulkhead required a slot to be cut. Its about 7/8 inch tall, by 5/16 inch wide. Basicly, drill 2 quarter inch holes in specific locations, then use a dremell tool to connect them and make the slot a bit bigger. I do plan on at least running the car static. The left front cvd binds badly when the steering is at half lock, and a few minutes of running may be what it needs. Im not sure about letting it go on the ground. So, I have the stock AE rc10 motor and pinion installed, and need to get a good servo to mount. The front belt guide sits on top of the servo, so that piece isnt in yet. Also, the chassis has enough flex to be a problem in hard race conditions. Im going to try and fit an A&L rc10 chassis stiffener to the car to fix this. As for the pics, I wish they were better! My camera is JUNK compared to newer equipment. It just dosent have the resolution to take great detail shots.
