Need help to ID a car

Any one has any idea what car is this? I think it is of American origin but I suspect it might be scratch build.

Any help is appreciated.

That looks alot like a older team associated buggy with an aftermarket chassis. The steering mechanism and servo saver really scream team associated.

In the last photo there is a logo of sorts on the front edge of the lower control arm. What does that say?

Certainly appears to be "based" on an Associated.......

Seems to have an "oval" type "Andy's" front end - and suspension arms.......perhaps even dyed RPM parts there as well......possible a technacraft "in line" chassis as well.......

It has been a long time since I have seen some of these mod parts.

It looks to me like one of many conversion kits to convert the RC10 buggy into a dirt oval racer, thus the dirt oval body in the background. The front end is standard RC10 dyed black, apart from the shock mount. The gearbox and rear suspension again is Associated, just the rear wishbones are an Andys upgrade(thus the Andys logo on the arms). Rear shock mount looks Associated as far as I can see in the pictures, but the blue alloy parts will have come with the chassis kit.

Many dirt oval racers were built this way, the mid mounted motor helps the handling and the lowered suspension sorts out the handling for a hgh speed dirt oval, where much suspension travel is not needed.

Maybe there are some McAllister RC10 dirt oval conversion kit parts in there too?! I've never seen any of the McAllister RC10-kits in the flesh, and the catalog pic was rather fuzzy, so I really don't know.

Does anybody know what happened to McAllister by the way? It seems it only sank quietly into oblivion.

Thanks guys. So I think I can conclude that this is a highly mod'ed dirt oval racer based on associated parts.

The car has a good "feel" to it. I think I will build it back up.
