The nitro storm, was a two wheel drive buggy produced approximately 10 years ago. It came as a truck or a buggy which was called the panther. It should have been powered by a leo 12 pull start engine. they were good cars and the latest desert storm 21 can be traced back to this original car. Parts are now be hard to find though, the latest body shells can be made to fit.

Time to put the big fat pants on and weigh in... lol...

A long long time ago (early nineties...) I bought a Schumacher Nitro 10. This was a 2WD truck based on the Cougar chassis. Also came as a 1:8 buggy (Panther, buggy body and truck tyres and wheels!) and as a 1:10 onroad car (Porsche 911 and Mercedes 190E). These were powered by the Irvine .15 cu.in. (2.5cc) motors, were single speed, and could be geared to drive at up to 100km/h... I believe it, these things were massively fast... not 100% controllable though...

At the time, Schumacher were also producing on the similar 2WD chassis the Cougar buggy and the Shotgun truck. The follow-up to each of these was the Cougar2 buggy and Storm truck. Storm truck differed in that it had a more modern racing truck body to the one on the Shotgun (and Nitro 10 Mk1). There was a Nitro 10 Mk 2, which may be the truck you're talking about. Should have come with the new body, and may or may not have also been providied with the .12 engine (by Leo and others).

After this came the newer models, 4WD trucks, and the Desert Storm/x21s... with three speeds, .21 motors, but pretty much the same chassis!!! You can see pretty much the same chassis on the Nitro 10 Mk 1 and the Desert Storm...

Oh, and the electrics used the same chassis and most of the hardware to produce the Club10 entry-level buggies and trucks, which were similar but with much lower specs (less bearings, gear diffs, etc.

How do I know all this? I have a Nitro 10 Mk1 like I mentioned, 2 Irvine .15 motors (my resto project), a Cougar2 Works-spec buggy, Storm electric truck, Shotgun electric truck (New Built), a few Club10 buggies, and a massive stockpile of spare parts!!!! Probably almost enough to build a whole truck/car.

So, Skyline_gtr_nos, send me a message, and we'll get together once yours arrives and compare notes...
