DANG!! [;)]

looks like darryn beat me to the punch on that one, yes it is a Mugen Mercury XI-4, yes it is UGLY enough to curdle milk at 20 paces, and Yes I do own a new built example [8)]

Still I can't complain I got it cheap enough, and it's the only one I have ever seen anywhere, though I suspect the guy I bought it off has another one [;)]

definatly a candidate for the rarest car on TC me thinks [8D] (oh and before you say that the Hirobo Jealousy was only made to 300 units??) at least two members on the club have one, where as I'm the only person with a Mugen Mercury in my showroom... so there [:P]

As for the Incident, I have a "funny" story. Back in 1985, the company I worked for (Norwegian Tamiya distributor), considered importing the Incident, and to see if the product was suited at all, I built one sample. The Incident may have been a good racer with a lot of tuning parts, but out of the box, though technically quite advanced, it was a piece of ****. The day after completing the car, I literally broke it in two to get the centrally mounted motor out (quicker than disassembling half of the car to get to it), and tossed the model in the garbage. The standard 540-size motor was of modest quality too, so I think it followed the car into the garbage after a few seconds of consideration. The Incident would have been a nice shelf queen now though. [:(]

Needless to say, not a single Incident was imported to Norway other than the sample.
