FG Marder in the Athletics world cup...?

Hey,

Has anyone been watching the athletics in Paris?

In the Javelin event there appears to be what resembles a R/C Marder that is used as a device for ferrying the Javelins probably back to the athletes.

It's modified with an attachement to carry javelins but it still looks cool.

I noticed that too. Didn't have it down as a petrol device though...

You're right - didn't spot the blue smoke trails.

We'll try to get a better look in the Mens finals this afternoon.

i saw it aswell, i figured it was something like a modified kyosho blizzard or a tank maybe - but i do have an over-active imagination somedays...

the chap driving it looked like he was having fun though!.

Can't have been a Marder, they only run for five minutes before dropping to bits!![V]

Yes it is a Marder.I saw it to.Think about it,its cheap to run and being used like they use it,it will last forever!

I wouldn't have thought they would have had petrol driven cars running around the place pumping out fumes nears all those atheletes or noisey engines running when people are trying to listen for starter guns going off.

That said I didn't see one up close, so I'm just guessing.
