Hello Motorsportnicko [:)]

Now when you say PB Mustang, which one do you mean? PB made a number of different cars under the "Mustang" name, the original Mustang Series where 1:8th Rallycross cars, very popular and competative in their day with sequal cars of the XI2 and X3 Mustangs that where used right upto the 90's

With their Rally cross dominance in the bag during the mid 80's PB turned their attentions to the 1:10th Electric Off-road scene and developed the Mini-Mustang it came out in autumn of 86 just about the same time as the original Schumacher Cat, the two cars were destined to Lock horns on the Track and dominated the UK racing scene for a next few years, a number of different version were produced, a 2WD, 4WD and 4WD 2 speed types.

It was quite a popular and competative machine, but the Cat had the edge and eventually won out, PB then bought out the Maxima which was a modified version of the Mini-Mustang to try and give the chassis a new lease of life, but the writing was on the wall, and then PB finished off their 1:10th car line up with the ACE, a totally new design but unfortunatly it didn't win much favour.

After that they practically abandonned the 1:10 electric off-road scene in favour of concetrating their efforts on the 1:8 IC pan car scene, to which again they had some successes, but even that fizzelled out and now the Company is no more [V]

I suspect you have a Mini-Mustang as they seem to be the only PB cars that are still floating about, I have one and they are a sturdy little car, with the novel duplicated front suspension on the rear and the distinctive Black back bone chassis with single Drive belt.

by todays competition standards they are about as competative as a dead slug, but then the same can be said of virtually all vintage competition cars, but they are a rare find and as a piece of RC history they are invaluble, considering how popular these cars were in the late 80's you see precious little sign of them now [V] and from a sentmental view point that makes them quite valuble, but only really to old school racers and ppl like me who can appreciate oddball and obscure cars and Brands.

I think I saw this car On Ebay, looked to be in pretty good nick too, I was thinking of buying it, but forgot all about it, so you got your self a good deal their mister, well done [;)]

Hi Wldnas

I think mine is a Xi2 its got the shocks that sort of sit on top of the front and rear diffs.

I`ve literally got a chassis, front and rear diffs, all suspension components ,centre free wheeling drive shaft(**** description)andfront and rear guards.

What i need is engine, fuel tank and r/c servo placements etc etc.

Its something that i`ve never seen before but it looks to be a well made piece of kit.and i got it for about £35.00

Update:-

i`ve just emailed you back mate it wasn`t me with the run away Marauder.
