OK, I now realize that this is not the Nichimo on the box. What is it? It looks sorta like a Grasshopper/Hornet.

That looks like a toy copy of a grasshopper. I know there was a clone that was RC, but this one is not Radio control, as it appears that the controller is wired directly to the car.

Interesting that the Seller lists it as an RC and that the car looxs absolutely nothing like the one on the box from which the title comes.

Hey Wadda yah know it's a "REMOTE" Control Grasshopper clone [8)]

It's possible you could rip out the "Fly By Wire" gear and retro fit some pukka RC equipment [8D]

But you'd probably have to substitute some of those wheels and axles fittings [V]

BTW: if your not going to be needing that Nichimo Spirit box & Manual.... any chance I could have it as my Spirit is in need of a new home and a good book to read []

Well the 'buggy' got here today. It is a Chinese knock off of the Grasshopper by a company called Echo. It is exactly the same dimensions as the Grasshopper and the front bumper and nerf bars are *exact* duplicates of the real thing. The shell is ABS and seems to be of similar quality as the Tamiya shell. The chassis is not too bad either although very spartan. The rear axle is obviously cheap. No diff and what appears to be a 380 motor. The tires while hard seem to even be in good shape with 'Off Roader' and 'Echo' as the text on the sidewalls (they are for some reason installed in the wrong direction for the paddles to dig in). I will be posting links to the pictures I take as I disect and inspect this. I am thinking it could be made a propper RC car with not too much work. [8D]

I really like the driver/seat setup. I am happy overall with this.
