I've still got my original meteor from about 1989 and I still have the original spares list and fold out instructions sheet and exploded diagram....

also I have a number of old RC magazines from the mid-late 80's that have one or two items adverts and articles about the Meteor

long shot on this ancient thread but here goes...

Hi All, I have had most of a Mardave Meteor sat in a box for years and have finally got round to doing something with it. I'm having real trouble figuring out how the steering linkage/servo saver goes together and can't find a manual online anywhere. A

Anyone got one they can scan?

Thanks for the pics. I actually have a complete running car in ok condition but wanted to strip and rebuild it.

I haven't run it yet - maybe this summer

I was given it by a old mate in its original state as he had put it away sometime in the late 80's - I seem to remember it ran rings around my Hornet at the time though - the shocks are Kyosho Option House Gold and they were his pride and joy!!

It is certainly a lot cleaner than mine.

I have had mine running and it was horrific with major over steer but it needs a full strip down and rebuild before I make any judgment. Mine was also given to me by a freind who had stored it away for years. I'll try and get some photos up soon.

Did you manage to get hold of one?

Like you, I can find just about all if the other manuals as a download, just not the Meteor!

Just resurrected my son's old Mardave Meteor and it fired up straight away after more 25 years. It is as it was bought with the MSC and original motor and Futaba Attack R RC set up. Any advice on the right ESC if I was to upgrade it? The second one is from one of the original WDA competitions in Aberdare and is just a chassis and motor. Anyone know the size/type/brand of motor originally used? New Transmitter and receiver on its way but again I'm not sure about which ESC.

Thanks to March75 both Meteors now up and running. The original with it's original set up and the WDA Mk1 with an MTroniks Sport Tuned 20 ESC and new MG995 servo. Can't seem to upload all the photos will add to them asap.
