Anybody have one of these sets for just an original RC10. I have a sprint car conversion I am putting together and it has nice new parts, but the tierods I have are all rusted. Anybody that wants to offload an extra set, just let me know. Either go through the club link, or email me at Sierra2sm@yahoo.com. Thanks.

The original never came with turnbuckles. It was just straight 4/40 threaded rod. I know that associated made a kit and some universal ones that you cut to fit. It depends on how original you want to get.

Thanks Shodog,

I was not aware of that. Please educate me and forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between a tie rod and a turnbuckle??

Tie rods are just simple threaded rod. You have to take the ball cups off th adjust the length of the links.

Turnbuckles have the threads "reversed" at either end - with a "nut" moulded/welded in the centre to allow adjustment without pulling the ball cups off.
