Does anyone here own/run a Traxxas Rustler? I've been considering one as an off-road runner and wanted to know what people thought. How do they compare to similar 'Stadium' type trucks like the RC10T/T2/T3, XXT, Stadium Blitzer, Duratrax Evader etc.? What is parts support like in the UK? Cheers. David

The Rustler is a low end truck like the Evader and Stadium Blitzer. No comparision between it and the Losi or RC10T. Now having said that the Rustler is tough and easy to work on. I bash mine about all the time. As for parts support in the UK I cannot say.

So where are the main differences then? build quality? materials? Cheers. David

The main differences are overall design, materials used and quality. Compared to the Losi and RC10T the Rustler is primative. I have had RC10T2 and T3's.

I saw a web page where some freak modded a Rustler to be competitive and seems like the truck did well.

Being that a new Rustler kit used to sell for about $65.00Us and a new Rc10T3 sold for over $150US I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

I will also say I think the Rustler is a better choice than either the Duratrash, er I mean Duratrax :) or the Stadium Blitzer. The Duratrax will likely be hard to get parts for unless you have a well stocked LHS. The Stadium Blitzer is weak in comparision to the Rustler IMHO.

Hope that helps some.

Just the job mate - thanks [:D]

Given that I'm not looking at serious racing, just knocking about, the Rustler looks like a reasonably good bet.

So is there anything inherently wrong with the Evader ST - seems to have a lot for the money (BB's, slipper, alloy shocks, 20T motor)?? There is a decent parts supplier in th UK.
