I just built a new HPI Savage SS truck. This truck looks awesome. Does anyone else own one of these?? The one thing that I noticed is that you push it backwards....is this normal or did I make a mistake somewhere while building?? Any help will be appreciated!

Hey Twinset,

What I mean is I can push the truck forwards with my hands and it will roll but if I try to push the truck backwards, it wont roll...the wheels seem to be locked. Is this normal?? I haven't even run the truck yet.

Oops...I just read my first post and I forgot to type in some stuff...so i can see why it didn't make sense...haha! Basically, what I am trying to say is will your truck roll backwards if you pushed it with NO brakes applied?? Mine does not and I was just wondering if this is normal.

Thanks!

I used to have a savage, and as far as i remeber it didnt roll backwards either. If you have the version with the primer button on the fuel tank be carefull, it can snap off easily if you fluff a jump and do a dodgy landing. Oh and unless you buy a center skid plate, i used tu use duck tape under the chassis from front to back, might not have looked to good but kept all the **** from the gearbox and disk break. just peeled it back when it was time to clean it and replaced it with new stuff when i ran it again.
