I've managed to get a Lamborghini Countach 400 made by Otaki. It's a 1/12 kit and looks very detailed. I'm considering running it. Just wondered if anyone knows anything about them? No suspension to talk about and batteries have to be D sized and 2 per side. Not going to be very quick then LOL Anyone have any info?

It existed also as a static version from which it has the very detailled and fragile body, I think company doesn't exist anymore but the static kits are now sold by Doyusha, chassis is very simple like the first Tamiyas, featuring a RS-380 motor, please let me know how it drives! [8D]

Cool, I will do and update my showroom. I also have the LP500 as static kit form. As you can tell I'm a fan of Lambo's. May keep the RC as LP400 and the static with special!

About 20 years ago found the Corvette by Otaki, made it into a runner, I still drive it on occasion, it's totally stock except for the 7.2 volt battery, wheels & tires. still runs great! The kit was so much like Tamiya's,I've always wondered if Tamiya bought out Otaki or just copied them.

Toyman have you got any pictures??Would love to see it. How did you get the 7.2v battery in there? Did you use stock speed control?

Thanks,

Felix

Sorry UK vintage, can't post any pictures cause I'm not a pay'in member. The kit came with a nicad adapter and I'm using the original speed control.
