Associated B3 motor/pinion setup

Could anyone suggest a good motor/pinion combo for a B3? It will be used for fun rather than racing, so good battery life and 'driveability' is as important as performance. Associated suggest a 23 turn single with a 23 tooth pinion and standard spur, so I was wondering about the new Tamiya TZ motor. Our ESCs are good down to 16-17 turns so 19t is probably a practical minimum. Any suggestions gratefully received. TIA. David

My Asso has got a 24 tooth pinion for 17 turn power plant and a 22 tooth for 14 turn. With an 81 tooth spur gear, it comes to an 8.1/8.4 ratio.
