I'm looking for a very low cost nitro buggy ( i'm in the uk ) and have came across the:

Acme Racing "Condor"

http://nitrotek.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=A3001T

now i can get one of these for £90 without the RC gear, but I already got that covered :)

It's a 1:10 and some videos of it in action look alright, and i have seen some people elsewhere on the net, saying that the condor is a good car thats fair quality, should I go for it?

Acme racing? sounds like something to do with Looney Tunes/Road runner [:D]

I think that it is £90 before our old friend Mr Brown has had his slice of the cake though. Still it is very cheap for a nitro and doesn't look bad quality either.

My only doubt would be about the spares back up. When the UK importers stop importing them where are spares going to be obtainable from?

Overall if I were interested in a Nitro I would give it serious consideration... the Condor pro has ballraces as standard and adjustable shocks....both worth their weight in Gold!

The Condor pro is only £20 cheaper than a HPI evo 2 though...I know what one I'd have!!

If it's anything like the Smartech cars it'll probably be chaff. Saw one up close and was less than impressed by its engineering. Also as Lordcroker says, parts avalability could be a worry. I'd stay well away.
