Quite a few years ago, a pair of conversion (upgrade) kits were developed to turn the Nikko Super Sprint / Dandy Dash 4wds into serious racing machines.

The first conversion kit contained a new chassis, suspension arms, assorted plastic parts, body and wing, and a centre diff.

The second conversion kit contained universal drive shafts, ball bearings, shocks, front and rear diffs, and more plastic parts.

I have the first kit and am now desperately trying to find the second kit. Both kits were recently on ebay but I lost out on that auction. If anyone has the second conversion kit or can help in any way, please let me know.

The link below shows the car complete with both upgrade kits.

Yeah, still hoping to find the other kit [V]

BTW the first kit only cost me AU $28, even if I have to pay quite a bit for the second kit, it should still work out very cheap [:D]

It is a Nikko by heart but the modded bits are not. I got a dandy dash and want to make mine look like these. Aren't they awesome looking? I'd like to have it built up for the spring drive.

As I've yet to find the second kit [:(] I can't tell whether or not I will need a Dandy Dash/Super Sprint for a couple of parts.

I think they would go quite well, the car has quite a few adjustments, and with all the extras like the universal drive shafts, 3 ball diffs, saddle pack chassis etc it would really be quite unique.

And yes, that body is just awesome [8D] I haven't painted mine yet...

Where did you find the first kit at? I've been on ebay and I emailed that company which had the photos but I've gotten no response from them. I tried the find them too. Is the company called bratswork or is it brats work? This is a hard search.[:0]

I found mine on ebay by doing my regular searches for "rare", "vintage" "nikko" etc. I noticed that just before I got on this site tonight I saw another kit on the Japanese Yahoo Auctions,

Its at the bottom of the page but you have to be quick because stuff moves around alot on that site.

BTW to browse through the pages go to the bottom of the page and you will see some japanese letters with numbers enclosed in brackets ie [ ‘O‚Ì50Œ | ŽŸ‚Ì50Œ ]. Use these to navigate.

Well I got my Dandy Dash in hand and it came with everything minus the radio, motor, and pinion. What type of pinion does yours have? I mean pitch.[?]

I just found the conversion kit I need (no.2) plus another kit that I already have (no.1). Not surprisingly they were on those Japanese Yahoo Auctions - no shipping overseas [:(][:(]

I tried contacting him but it's pretty hard - the website is in Japanese and from what I can gather you cant get member details without joining, plus it clearly states "seller will not ship internationally" [:(]

This search is starting to get annoying [:(!]

I posted this on another forum and someone replied and said that there are some guys in Japan who will bid on items on the Yahoo Auctions for you (for a fee of course [;)] ). He gave me a couple of links, one looks too expensive but the other one looks ok, He also said to email some of the Japanese Ebay sellers and ask them to get it, apparently this guy has done that a few times and some of the sellers are quite happy to do it.
