Guys wonder if any of you can help?

I really want to find a Yokomo YZ870c Dogfighter New in Box, was one of the very first people in the UK to buy one of these when new and raced the badword out of it. Scared a lot of Cats and Optima Mid drivers and was one of my all time favorite cars. Kept it for years and lent it to my brother 4 years ago, had a falling out and he has now gone to Australia. I loved that car and would so dearly love to build NIB kit again.

Thanks if anyone can help.

Kind Regards

You and me BOTH pal [;)]

I'm after an original SUPER-DOGFIGHTER as well [;)] though I would settle for a good used one? as Yokomo's go they are rare as hens teeth, it first appeared in about 89 but was soon superseeded by YZ10 which was a modified version of the 870 chassis and soon displaced them? you hardly ever see the 870 on Ebay and when you do they go for a right premium [8)]

I see the 870 as the first PROPER Yokomo buggy [;)] much better than that ugly chunky chain driven thing they had before it (YZ834 Dogfighter) the 870 chassis went on to give Yokomo great successes in the world champs after it came out and Yokomo kept its performance ahead of the competition with a series of progressive modifications, but the 870 was thier first belt driven chassis, and it all kicked off for them with this car and thats why I want one [:D]

Hi I know they are great cars and did wonder if any collectors here (perhaps with more that one would be willing to sell one off?) here's hoping. If anyone sees one on Ebay please let me know.

p.s. I know there are some good pictures on www.Oople.com and I believe the site owner is a member.

Thanks

The yokmo Super dog is about my favourite car, never had one back in the day but i remember going to RAF cosford and watching a RRCI round, with the odd super dogfighter with its mad pink wheels and wishing..

The yz870c i think is the first car i got in my collection, maybe the first thing i bought on ebay.

My 1987 worlds video shows the yz870c being prepared by the losi guys, it wore old style yz834b (losi) wheels and tyres, but it was esentially the same car, should have won!

I raced my other yz870c at the Batley national this year, i was sceptical but it performed really well, it was really good thru the grass but needed a better setup on the rough parts.. Its retired now.

Did any kits ever come with decals ? mine didnt, at least not like the box art. Neither did my yz834b (rps) kit.

I had some new decals printed for my cars, have some left if anyone wants a look

I managed to get a new (real yz870c) body for my runner and still looking for new pink wheels (2 inch), then it can sit on my shelf (when i have one!).
