Hello,

I was wondering how to tell if you have a RC10 with a stealth transmission? It's a keyword in RC10 auctions on Ebay and I read that the early models had a six gear transmission. Picutres of the different types would be awesome.

Thanks

There are a couple ways to tell. If there is a pic of the bottem of the car, then look for 12 screw holes at the rear of the car. 4 will be for suspention mounts, and every car will have them. 4 more holes inside of the suspention mounts, will be for the old 6 gear trans. If a stealth trans is used, then there will be 4 more smaller holes, inside the pattern of the 6 gear trans mount holes. To tell from a side pic, the 6 gear trans is more blocked, angular. The stealth trans is slender, with noticeable rounds where each gearshaft bearing is seated inside. Hope this helps. I ended up buying an older 6 gear car thinking it was a stealth car,, only made that mistake once.
