Well, it depends on the manufacturar. Tamiya stock motors hardly reach 21,000 rpm. Some Trinity and Peak motors go all the way up to 29,000 under no-load conditions (Monster stock and Green Machine), I think.

Best stay with a 21,000 rpm limit, although some people here use technigolds (dont know specs) with a MSC.

In the Eurocup a few years back we ran 18turn motors on the MSC with no problems at all, depends what car you have and where the resistor is really. I have run 10cells through a MSC with a silver can attached, obviously had to use a Rx pack but it worked just fine (went rather quick too). They take alot of hammer really.

Moosey ran a Dynatech 02H in what is now Claire's Taisan TA-02 with an MSC. I have stripped it down and it shows no side effects at all. Have slotted in a nice Team Losi Revolution Modified for her (16t I believe) for Snet [:P]
