Everyone has told me that electric monsters are a waist of time and money and all they so is suck battery if you are planing on racing it.

Hey Richie, get an Emaxx! I have hours of fun with mine. A set of GP 3000mAh Nimh batteries will give you a good run time (note that they run on 2 sets - 14.4V). Cheers, Don.

Is there anything new coming out that is like the E-maxx? I want to get a new electric Monster truck of the same size and price.

I have a money pit Clod with a TTR Ripper Pro chassis on it. I spent possibly over $1000 building it but it is a blast to drive!

I already have a Terra Crusher and that has put me off Nitro for awhile. I don't like the noise, mess, and constant maintenance you have to do for Nitro.

id="quote">id="quote">hello......my first nitro was the terra crusher......and although it nice.......compared to ones i have had since.it was slow....and it seemed to leak nitro everywhere...so if you ever want to try another nitro..keep in mind there all not like the terra crusher.....there all loud though forsure

dont get an emaxx they cost more than a tmaxx (the nitro version of the emaxx) and almost the same price as a hpi savage which is the king of mt's.

emaxx rtr 250usd average + batteries 50usd

tops to 300usd

tmaxx rtr-200-250usd used

savage 250-300usd used

You should not compare new emaxx price to used tmaxx...

I've heard lots of excellent opinion regarding the emaxx, one even butchered some tmax at the last MT event in France. For "nitro like" electric truck I believe that only emaxx and kyosho twinforce are comparable, otherwise tamiya electric trucks in general are worth it.

If you are looking for something like an Emaxx, buy an Emaxx! It's a fast, strong truck with good handling that is incomparable to any current Tamiya IMO. They accelerate quicker at low speed than most monsters thanks to the vast amounts of torque and can run with 14 cells should you want a bit more power than normal. They are much better in confined spaces than the nitro trucks due to the low end grunt as well as much quieter which is also a bonus. Also worth noting is that the price of a new Emaxx has dropped to £300 needing just batteries and charger. I'd say it's the most fun vehicle in my collection although I have stocked up on batteries so I can run it for a decent amount of time before I have to start charging again.

emaxx's arnt very fast they only go 22mph on the radar. go with a tmaxx much cheaper and faster, if you would like to go down that road i would reccomend to buy an rtr with a .15 or .18 os engine.

But if he has said he wants an electric truck, why recommend a nitro? An Emaxx is certainly the fastest stock electric monster I can think of anyway.

You can not go wrong with an e-maxx or a t-maxx. Both are proven performers ( I have owned both ) It all boils down to what you want. And as far as nitro being cheaper..please let me know where you shop because i have never seen an e-maxx more expensive than the t-. That is if you are comparing apples to apples. Not new versus used. If you want reliability go with the elec. if ya want speed and the smell of burning nitro (wooohoo) go with the t. But like i said you wont be dissapointed with either one!! Oh and one more thought as far as pricing goes. How can owning a nitro be cheaper? I dont know about you but the fuel i buy (team trinity platinum) is over 25.00 a gallon. So in the long run you buy a few decent batts. and your done!!! Just my 2 cents, thanks for listening ! er reading [;)]

hey:

I used to have an e-maxx. they are fast, durable, and go over anything ! Since it was RTR I sold it. I now have a TXT-1. it will blow away an E-Maxx now, but it cost three times as much as a e-maxx to get it there! Again, if I would have built my e-maxx I would have kept it for sure, you can't go wrong with it, but I'm a Tamiya man. One more thing, if you want aftermarket selection, the E-Maxx/T-Maxx is where it is at right now !

Bad news I just heard that the Hot Bodies E-Zilla will be out early July in uK about £245.00. I wonder when will it be out in HK as I am now going at the begining of June.
