mrc.......used to be the US distributor for tamiya....most of the old tamiya stuff has the mrc/tamiya name...mrc stands for model receiver corporation

that truck you have was called the thunder king...made by mrc after there split with tamiya in the 1990's..it seemed to be very popular when it first came out.it was bigger than 1/10 scale and very strong

i recall they where starting to race the bigger trucks but then i got away from the hobbie.so im not sure what happened to them...

but id say that truck would be good to collect or enjoy

mrc now is teamed up with a bunch of companys including academy/enya and others

mrc also made a buggy version.....a race truck version.....and i believe a nitro version

MRC is the Model Rectifier Corporation. They used to be Tamiyas US distributors, a lot of the old Tamiya spares are still around in MRc labelled bags. MRC separated from Tamiya and decided to make their own buggies and trucks. Their first range was the MRC World Scale, which your truck is one of them. It was listed as 1/7th scale, and was big enough to run with dual batteries and even a dual motor setup. The strength of them was demonstrated by being driven into a cinder block wall again and again.

They did try and get a race series going for them, but they never really took off. They were replaced by a range of 1/10th scale buggies and trucks aimed at the basher market, like Traxxas' range, but they were a reasonable club racer.

Thanks guys!

A friend gave it to me.He had it in the basement for many years.

I dont know how he got it since it sounds like a US brand and we live in Sweden.

I will defenitly try it, and maybe sell or trade it later.
