I would like to build a RC boat, and was looking for advice.

I am confident I can make the hull, but it's the motor / prop / rudder bit which puzzles me...

Any help appreciated,

Sam

I have build two boats with my brother. One is a 1:18 scale Landing Craft wich we build after a Airfix model kit, I think it would look very cool with a 1;16 sherman in it. I also build a speed boot from wood but thats actually a bit of a disaster as it is very slow and heavy and handles bad. The Landing Craft is also made of wood and has simple forms very square and was a very nice project really enjoyed it. I also build a robbe Katja wich is small and fast with a 540 motor (standard a 380) It was very cheap but you need to make some modifications and wooden parts on you're own wich is good i think. It was something around 50 euro's and a nice beginners boot.

So if you wan't to make a boat make something like a landing craft and not a speedboot as you be cheaper and fast byuing a kit. If you want any pictures of the landing craft I can email them.

This is the link of the robbe katja: http://at.robbe-online.net/cgi-bin/rims_at...7183e0dc12106d3

And boats are fun to [:D] I think!

Hi tamiya_89,

That'd be great if you could send pictures of any of your boats... PM me via the forum for my email address..

Thanks for the link to the Robbe site. I like the look of the laser!

I wonder if they ship to the uK???

Cheers,

Sam
